That's Joe Johnston from Iowa at 2:15. That match was during his freshman year when he beat defending NCAA champ Luke Becker from Minnesota in a dual meet.

love the vid, a sport that is not to famous or glamorous but is the best in my opinion, at building charachter, self discipline and the will to never give up!

Who is at 2:15? And who is that celebrating at the end with the crazy back arch?
Hands down the best tribute vid I've come across! Shared it all over facebook, wish that the world was as passionate about this great sport as I and the people on this site. Keep the good vids comin'!!!

Great video! What time that must've taken. Please know your time has been appreciated. It is such a tribute to the featured wrestlers and those who love the sport!
Wow, Jason, nice video but one question....why my uncle Kenny Monday isn't in this...lol, but still nice though. I wish i could save this and put it on my ipod or something, who needs movies....nice video man.

Thats It June 26 at 7:17pm
thats what the sport is all about... very nice!!! being a state champ and ex college wrestler makes you go back!! awesome some really warriors on that video! best to luck with your son and his battle with cancer.. if he is a wrestler you know you have a fighter wish you and your family the best
Excellent video, with great production values and does a great job of showing what wrestling is about. And I like the music too! BTW: not to be a wet blanket here, but since Coldplay's music IS copyrighted, I'm no lawyer but personally speaking I would make sure that the video is not used in association with any profit-oriented endeavor, because as paranoid and sue-happy as the major labels are these days, if Capitol/EMI were to find out that was happening.......

I think the "sure" was meant for me Jason, but I'm the coach who asked if you could send me a dvd copy of your artwork so I could use it as a recruiting tool for my high school program.
If you want to checkout who you are sending to, please feel free to scan:

I'd be willing to send you a very cool looking t-shirt in return or would be willing to give you a few bucks for your trouble.
Either way is fine with me partner.

Outstanding job Jason! Some really great stuff and well put together. I especially like that you showed love for some of the greats (Smith, Gable, Koll, Mills, and Cael) during the instrumental break. Now go lift!
Jason, The video is very moving and inspirational. I believe I remember that one of the passengers on the plane that crashed on 9/11 in Pennsylvania was a wrestler and was involved in trying to stop the terrorists. Does anyone know if this is correct?
you better not take this video down EVERYONE loves it. i have never witnessed a more inspirational video in my life. we want more!
and btw the video wasnt copyrighted so you did nothing wrong

Once more wrestling fans can be the biggest critics, please o' please don't listen to them. Kudos Jason Russel, this is a great video and I wish I could see more like them. This is exactly the type of thing our wrestling community needs.
im sorry. flowrestling if you guys have any problems with me using some of your guys clips, or anyone else... let me know and ill take the video down.

Him making money off of it is not the point. The point is that someone went through the trouble of shooting the footage, and he decided to take it on his own without asking and re-use it.
#94
Awesome June 22 at 4:29pm
Who cares if he stole video or just put some stuff together. Great vid. I didn't expect that he went and collected it all. How much did he make from it? $0?
Keep up the good work.

its not that big of a deal.... its not like the guy is making money off of the clip he put some stuff together get off of his nuts

Anonymous June 22 at 1:53pm
Yes he did steal footage. There are multiple clips in this video that he took from someone else without bothering to ask.
Wrestling: We make each other, we break each other. On the Mat it is War, Off the Mat, it is a Brotherhood. How many times have you seen somebody walking down the street or into a restaurant and you knew they were a wrestler? If it is in your blood than a video like this make the hair on your neck stand up and brings a flood of everything it took to became what you are.
I think it's this bout.

Wrestling is the toughest, most rewarding, most awe-inspiring sport there is. Those who have ever wrestled or coached wrestling know this. Once you've wrestled, everthing else in life is easier...

yeah this is cool, i think it reminds me personally that i am american, that no terrorist nobody is ever going to stop me or us as a country, i think that as a country we can look at that day and use it to remind ourselves why we go out on that mat why we compete to show the world that we wont give up.
Guys a flow do a great job. What a awesome video!!

I have never posted on any site before. This video and caveman’s extremely thoughtful post have inspired me. God bless America and God bless this sport.
great video
A thought on 9/11
I saw the news flash on a sports board just after morning announcements.
At first I thought it was a Picture someone farked then I thought it must be a mechanical error.
Then I saw the second plane crash into the other tower.
I am old enough to remember the first moon walk, the last soliders leaving Vietnam, The Bcentennial celebration, even the killings at Kent State.
There was a very clear attitude that began to take over the school as the day went on. We would not react or cancel out of fear. the greatest tribute we could give those fallen that day was to go on living and being Americans. We played a 9th grade football game that afternoon. When the game was over both teams met at mid field and had a moment of silence afterwhich a spontaneous singing of the starspangled banner began. It was with out a doubt the most moving moments I have ever been involved in.
It is important that as we remember the events of the past we continue to live our lives thankfully and freely comitted to the things we give our hearts too. In this case the love of wrestling.
the palmer schlatter pin was shown in a buckeye wrestling show.

It still amazes me how much anti American is pumped into kids heads on our college campuses. Just think that kind of so called “critical thinking” cost somebody’s parents about 30K a year. Unbelievable!!!

HEY! June 20 at 1:12pm
WHOA WHERE DID YOU GET THE PALMER SCHLATTER PIN?? I'VE NEVER SEEN THAT MATCH I DIDN'T THINK THEY TAPED IT.
eh nobodies perfect :P I had my dad watch it, he didnt notice haha.

Cool video and dedication to those who lost their lives in 9/11. After spending this much time, I feel bad to recommend having someone review your title before posting the video. ("their lives", not "there lives")
-josh
I've always thought about doing videos like this, but I just never sat down and got all the clips. Nice work. Not the biggest fan of the rays of light, but not a big deal. Again, nice job. :)
it gave me cold chills the whole way through
Great video but wat is the title of the song
great compilation of footage
excellent examples of defensive/offensive wrestling
Thank you.
