Pica earned that, it didn't look like Meulman wanted to be there, he just stalled most of the time and tried to run out the clock

Nick Pica looks pretty damn technical in this video. Did you see the first shot? Pass-by to far-side single, turn the corner real quick? It's not pretty because he's big. But it's good.

CA,
The picas were sloppy wrestlers but they were MANLIER than anyone in there weight class. probably more straight beastly than anyone in the nation. tito wouldve been a state champ if he didnt have collins or meredith of bland one class up, three technical wrestlers who were pretty manly themselves, to wrestle.
so yes maybe pica (and Meulman) isnt the prettiest wrestler but he goes in there to whup ass. and i sure he could kick yours too. I wish i could be that manlike in highschool.
good luck to him if he goes to sr nationals.

Tank placed 4th. If you get to see any of his matches, you'll see that his leg was extensively taped and wrapped. It looked like he was hurt, and bad. Both these guys are really good. So are the 3rd/4th place guys.

WOW, it amazes me how people can come on here and just down talk or talk trash period! anyone can be tuff or say whatever on a website, like "we have sucky Hwt's". Being a State Champ is a great accomplishment, and doing it in California is even tougher than most states. Instead of saying good job, people like CA hide behind a wall and write trash. get a life, you probably never accomplished anything in ur life.

Well you are talking about Tank Knowles from Calvary Chapel. Placing 6th in california state as a sopre is an impressive feat he could be a two timer depending how he wrestles Drew Muelman next yr.I believe tank could have hit the finals had it been another weekend. Nick Pica is no slouch he and his brother are probably one of the most agressive wrestlers Ive seen he wanted it and he got it. CA dont down talk any of these kids. they will do some damage on you.

you guys have sucky upper weights other than McCovey. these guys have no talent. there is a kid though at 215's who i believe is extremely talented and i'm surprised to not see winning this let alone even being in the finals. i believe he is from that christian school. amazing talent. guess he's just not enough of a brute.
