Derek is a hard-working, dedicated wrestler and captain. There is hardly a balance between studies & wrestling - for Derek, his head and heart is always wrestling. He is more than deserving of a bid to NCAAs. I wouldn't be surprised to see him earn that wildcard and make himself known in St. Louis. Great showing at Penn Derek, especially against O'conner. That match will be remembered.

I think he is an AMAZINGGG wrestler!! Watched him from a young wrestler to his Bergen Catholic High School career. Really hard worker and committed to both his studies and wrestling. Best of Luck at Nationals!!

How Do They Do It   March 6 at 9:53am
I have seen these guys studying between matches. It must take some commitment to balance school and athletics at Columbia. Not to mention they are a team that can produce All-Americans

Brawl, Brawler, Ivy League...nogonna, nogonna, nogonnadoit. Aside from the fact that this cat looks 12, hopefully, his tough talk gets him a prestigious job -- non-wrestling-related, of course.
you are calling a columbia kid a tool. I would like to see you balance his type of schedule and academics with wrestling at the top level. East to talk behind that computer isnt it. I wonder why this kid has a camera in front of his face and you dont. puts things in perspective doesnt it. I wonder if you are having trouble reading these long words?
