Dudziak wrestled in Jersey and was never a placer, I believe. He definately made the NCAA's exciting. I couldn't help but root for the guy.

I bet Zabriske and Rosholt are sick to their stomachs. They dominated Ellis their fresh & soph years. Now Ellis is a nat champ. It shows how hard he's worked the last couple of years. I think Dom Bradley was supposed to take over for Ellis next year even though Ellis is only a junior. Wonder if a national championship changes things. Go MIZZOU!

His name is Polish and he mentioned wrestling in the European Championships. So to answer your question......I don't know.

I became an overnight Dudziac(Maniac-Dudziak fan), You wrestled a great tournament and you showed that HWT can wrestle an exciting style. I hope to see you at the top next year.

Watching the match, I felt like Konrad was the better wrestler, but just couldn't finish.

Konard, the entire tournament our group was rooting for you. The Rudy of wrestling! Smaller than most of the heavies, from a school that never had an all american, you were awesome. Yea, the match got away, use it as motivation. Keep plugging away!

Zabriski was closer to a takedown in the semi's than he was in the finals, which if called would of kept him from yhe finals

ACC wrestling sucks. it's a crappy league full of fake coaches and jv wrestlers. it's like watching bad high school wrestling. the truth must hurt.

Heavyweight is an amazing weight class right now. I think Scott Steele is coming back from surgery, Dudziak, Ellis, Rosholt, Zabriske, Erickson, ... Man there's no clear favorite for next year at all. I think Tucker Lane beat Rosholt at the Big 12's so he's in the mix too! And these guys actually know how to wrestle. I've never seen it at this level for this weight class and it gives me hope for when some of them move on to the international stage.

i think that it was a tough call... so many people have their own view of when a scramble ends and a takedown is scored... especially in today's era of wrestling when nearly everyone, including the heavyweights have the ability to scramble quite well... i personally don't think that it was a takedown at the end of the third, but i would understand if the ref would have called it... it was a tough call... ellis saved himself by continuing to wrestle... but i guarantee that there are just as many people who believe that it wasn't a takedown, when compared to those who believe that it was... that was probably the best heavyweight match i've ever seen... the weight class has truly evolved to more than just big fat guys pushing each other around... now the heavyweight class is chock full of athletes who know how to wrestle... there was evidence of this throughout the heavyweight bracket...

Yea congratulations to Ellis he wrestled a good match and it sounds like he's a hard worker, no reason to take anything away from him over what a ref called. Hopefully they'll match up again next year.

This kid is a great wrestler but ppl need to stop hatin on ellis if u want to give him the takedown at the end u could have said ellis had one when he came out the back door so that again would have led to over time and an ellis victory.....i cant wait to see these two go at it again next year

Other than the blown takedown calls, what was with the ref hitting Dudziak with that stall call in the 1st period? He let Ellis stall all 3rd period. Konrad outwrestled Ellis hands down and will be back for the title next year.

I picked Konrad to win it since I saw him wrestle at reno. The dude is small but has great shots and technique. This is a great interview, hope he gets a title next year.

Deserved a better fate. He won inthe 3rd period with a late takedown. Can't believe how relevant a quick look @ video would have solidified poor call. You are jist as much champ as Ellis. Look @ the replay Miz. Look @ the interview and see how lives are changed by refs refusing to look @ replay.
