N. G.(No Good) What does a right triangle have to do with wrestling!?
I'm having a hard time staying on task! I'm done!
rt. triangle. past 90 degrees = back points! (maybe its greater than or = to 90 though)
The phrase āMolon Labeā represents the indomitable spirit of the ancient warrior. Borne of the Battle of Thermopylae, it is the modern equivalent of "bring it on.ā
When the Persian Emperor, Xerxes, demanded that the heavily outnumbered Spartan General Leonidas, and his heavily outnumbered troops, lay down their arms in exchange for their lives, Leonidas shouted back āMolon labeā or āCome and get them.ā Peleka is Greek for hatchet or ax.

Gosh, thanks for all of the nice comments guys about my choice. I actually prefer the truncated version suggested by others on this board, THE BRONCO/BEAVER CLEAVER. But thanks again, I usually get blasted on these forums.

I justed browsed the list and I like Sinadinos 'the bad axe' maybe a bit of tweaking and it could be the 'bad axe brawl' I think sinadinos is on to something there.!!!!!
I propose naming the ax the 'Cretan Cleaver', due to the Cretans being known to carry such weapons. Perhaps, we could call the event/dual the 'beaver bronco battle for the cretan cleaver', or for short the 'battle for the cretan cleaver'. What do you think? Put capitalization, punctuation as you see fit.

PAC AXE IS NOT A COPY OF BROADWATER. THE PAC-BACK IDEA sounds childish. like give me my pac back or i'll tell the teacher.
with ur logic - NO ONE can use the word pac or ax or axe. there's already so many words that have been used, now u think no one can use these same words or combos of them. not everyone reads every post then types their idea.
Bronco-Beaver Battle Blade - very creative but too long for newspaper headlines and television spots
Bronc/Beav/Cleav - But if these teams had some down yearsyou could see some in the media turning that name into the "Bronco/Beaver/Cleaver."
Does "Leave it to Beaver" symbolize wrestling? The Beav isn't exactly a tough kid.
Let's keep brainstorming.
Ist Place - "The Felling Axe" (My name)
2nd Place - "The PAC Axe" - it's catchy with a camping, hiking, and logging as well as athletic theme. Although how long will the PAC-10 sponsor wrestling?
Whoever wins please do not degrade this rivalry by giving the axe a name that is too long or too cutsey. This is wrestling and it should be dignified as the oldest and greatest sport.
Remember the media must be able to utilize this for headlines publicizing the dual meet. Isn't that the bottom line to generate interest in western collegiate wrestling.
r u serious about the Cleav one????????????????????????? oh yeah, that's real good forever known as Cleav which is short for cleavage!!! that's classy. how about the the sweaty beaver!
or bare back bronco!
buckin bronco/hot beav/ split the cleav!!!!!!!!!!!! cmon

So Far I have Bronc/Beav Cleav! I will be talking to JoeFlo and Martin through out the week for the top five we will nomintate and have a vote, but we saw how that worked for the singlets, so we will have to have a conference call on it, NOT!
'Snake River Axe'...the winner has it in their state for a year...but one question flo? They dual twice a year(like this year)..and BSU won twice. So what happens if they split(no pun intended) duals in a season in the future?
The Battle For The West has a new symbol in the rivalry of OSU VS BSU. Coach Randall of BSU and Steiner of OSU lay down the challenge, who ever comes up with the best name will get a BSU, OSU and flowrestling t-shirt. All submissions will cut off on Friday February 20. February 16, 2009
I followed the rules too.

Breaver Axe
This is of course because both schools are in the Pac-10 and the winner takes back the axe. Simple, and catchy.
