both great wrestlers but overtime takedown is suspect..... im not sure about that one, i can see why rosholt was upset

I am a fan of OSU and of Rosholt. Some calls appeared close, but that is the nature of a match with two closely matched athletes. I appreciated Ellis's hustle to win a good match and hope Rosholt takes him next time. I do wish a fine person like Rosholt would have shown better sportmanship and I hope he does that next time also.

Ellis is susceptible to low shots. That's why I think if Zabriskie wrestles him in the NCAA"s he will do more damage then Rosholt.Plus Zabriskie is arguably the best counter wrestler in the heavyweight division.

top 3?
im a mizzou fan, and if rosholt was in shape that match could have easily gone either way. Zabriskie, Rosholt and Ellis all 3 have a great chance at winning the ncaas

one hand, one knee, and one foot down with you your opponent in control on your back.....sounds like a take down.

To AC about that not being two. Rosholts knee was down while ellis was behind controling the hips. You would have seen Smith throwing a fit if it wasnt a take down. Wrestler does not have to be down, Either weight forward on hands or one knee touching signifies a takedown. And I wanted Rosholt to win

Conditioning was clearly the factor here.I'd like to see Ellis win it this year.

I think it became a take down when Rosholt put his hand on the mat.

That final takedown wasn't two. It might have been if the ref had let Ellis finish the takedown by actually taking Rosholt down to the mat from the standing position. But he stopped the bout too early. Remember, refs, the key to a "takedown" is that the wrestler is actually "down" on the mat, not standing.

I'm not that familiar with folkstyle but I wouldn't call that a takedown. But I also wouldn't call Rosholts first takedown one either.
