In summary.............
If you want to pull your girlfriend out the dorm by the hair and knock the living crap out of her on the lawn like she was an animal (and carry the rock for the football team) then go to Nebraska. If you want to grab your stick on gay porn sites (and wrestle) then do not go to Nebraska. Go Huskers !

Lawrence Phillips issue was not and never will be Mark Mannings problem. As far as Manning is concerned there is one standard, and that has to do with wrestling, not football.

The story I heard was that Lawrence Phillips grabbed his girlfriend by the hair and dragged her down two flights of stairs.

Phillips certainly turned out to be a thug/putz.

Lawrence Phillips remember what he did and how it went through the media....When the AD Tom Osbourne was the football coach. Read up what he did to his girlfriend (the girl was a NU student to boot) and how violent it was - more than one time. He still stayed on the football team and played. I am not sayin grabin ur member on gay porn sites is a good career move but jus seems like there is a double standard.

For all of you guys out there bashing Manning. I am a proud supporter of NU wrestling and I'm glad that Manning is our coach. This was not the first time that Donahoe and Jordan had messed up. Posing nude was the final straw. I know Manning a litte, and I'll bet that he wishes those guys the best in the future, but they had to be let go, even though it could have cost NU a national title. He is setting a precedence for years to come about what type of behavior is expected at NU. I'll be rooting for Donahoe to win the championship in March. Hopefully both guys learned from the mistakes and became better people. Don't blame Manning or NU for what happened.

he seems like a good dude, he's done some good things with the kids he got and seems focused on giving these kids life lessons, and knows that wrestling is a great tool to mold fine individuals. Its nice to see a college coach who is concerned with the individual on and off the mat and not just what the wrestler can do for his team, Go jordan and go Nebraska

If the real reason that Donahoe and Jordan were let go is that they posed nude this guy should be ashamed of himself. Seems like a really controlling personality. Is UofN trying to be Liberty University?

just say donahue and jordan getting kicked off the team was a huge blow to the team. I guess at Nebraska if u can play football and you can beat the living crap out of your girlfriend a couple of times and STILL play in a bowl game. But if you wrestle and make mistake then you are wiped from the books like you never even went there even if you were a national champ. I guess the new recruits do not care about that double standard at Nebraska. That is the elephant in the room that is not said.

Before the dual against Oklahoma we finally got to catch up with Nebraska head coach Mark Manning. Here he discusses this years squad and compares it to the teams from several years past. He also gives us some insides to the current lineup as well as the type of athletes he looks for to wear the Nebraska singlet.
