I agree, there was nothing "thuggish" or "ghetto" about this, it was complete immaturity that needs to be taken under control. I hope he isn't kicked off the team, like steintrager was for DEFENDING himself when a wrestler attacked him in the stands, and Steintrager was booted from the tourny.

I've seen plenty of cowboys lose there cool including the "sherrif's" little brother. Trice got frustrated. Rosholt beat him up. Trice is young and will be in Rosholts position in two years. Rosholt is a very good and physical wrestler. Trice showed his age. It has nothing to do w/ being ghetto or a thug. "Thugs" from Detroit don't go to college and succeed. Trice has done both. I though both coaches showed alot of class. Smith and Borelli are much classier than Brands any day...

Iowa Fan, You must not remember Mark Smith. I saw, on more than one occasion, him flip off the crowd and tell them to suck it at nationals. Oklahoma State has had its number of obnoxious wrestlers. But Trice does need to grow up, it could have cost CMU the dual.

Why is "Thug" and "Ghetto" brought up whenever there is a black wrestler that acts stupid? Is metcalf a thug or ghetto for wrestling through the whistle?

Thug is RIGHT...but how about Rosholt keeping his kool. Sign of a program that won't take just anyone. Don't anyone take that the wrong way. But you EVER see an cowboy lose his cool? ALL the crap thrown at them over the years? Say what you want that sherrif won't allow it on his team. From what I have seen, which may be limited. Remember when Mocco lost it in the finals and almost went to blows. Didn't see that when he was a cowboy. Sure there may have been "somthing", that I am sure someone will bring up...

Rosholt moved like a lightweight, never let up, and put on a clinic. Sweet.

There wasn't anything wrong with the kick by Trice. He did however, keep wrestling after the whistle and tried to cheap shot Rosholt. Rosholt responded reasonably, I thought. Trice's behavior is disgusting and thuggish. He does not represent CMU or our sport very well. It is this type of ghetto behavior that gave his high school a bad rap.

I don't think the kick was that bad. I believe he kicks rosholts hand and then it hits his sternum. The shot to the head was, but probably felt the kid drove him too far out of bounds. You both are very right though.

Unfortunatly, there is some cary over from his outstanding HS coaching with regards to sportsmanship.

Jarod needs to get himself under control. You were handly beaten by the best in the country, shake his hand and get off the mat. Instead he takes popshots throughout the match (hand to the face, sidekick to the sternum). You didn't see Rosholt act like he was going to throw a punch. Trice needs to clean up his act and quit embarrasing the program.
