Ladd Rupp might not even ever start in college. I don't see him beating Jon Morrison anytime soon...

It's too bad Mango got tired. That boy's got talent. He slowed down about 20 seconds into the seconds round. I don't know where :42 came from. He didn't finish any of his shots in the second. Which was a bummer, they were nice setups.

I don't think they had a 103 match, not too many seniors that are 103.

Mango surprised rupp with that early stepover, but rupp's constant pressure finally broke him and he took complete control.

How long ago did Mango's season end? This is an exhibition. Assuming his goal was a state championship, I think it's ok that he took some time off. Unfortunately, you're seeing the side effects of his rest. An in-season match would be far more interesting.
reply

Yeah   March 30 at 10:30pm
yeah youre probably right - because you probably wrestle D1 and know what it takes. youve probably also proven your abilities more than ryan, also. better learn to like him, he'll probably be wearing red, white and blue at the olympics

42 seconds left, and 3X state champ (as well as double champ in Fargo) Ryan Mango is down 9-7. He's on bottom, and he does absolutely nothing for the rest of the match. No bursts, no explosiveness, not a damn thing. What a horrible, lazy performance. Mango showed no heart or desire in those final :42 and a terrible lack of conditioning. His best wrestling days might have already passed. Gutless showings like that won't cut it in D1.

according to recent reports, mango is going to the usoec for greco. after watching his lack of riding skills and poor set ups to his shots, its probably a good idea.

me or did Mango take way to many shots with 0 set up? That will tire you out and frustrate you... Rupp scored on 2 of them. Kudos to the OK programs maybe that speed works in MO...

Ladd Rupp, represents Perry, Oklahoma wrestles Ryan Mango from Missouri, who represents the national dream team. Both these wrestlers display good technique and a fountain of fighting spirit, giving us an exciting, well wrestled match. Rupp never slows down so in the end he outworks Mango, thus gaining the win by his better conditioning. Thanks to both grapplers for an excellent show. For the upcoming years, Oklahoma State has good depth at 125 pounds with Partain, Morrison, and Rupp all able competitors.
