...he was not awarded the two because he did not pop his head above the back of Barber while he was trying to get the two. Hooking the leg is a useful marker to look for but not a defining criteria for establishing control, The ref felt that control was not fully established because green did enough to keep it ambiguous.

Really good comeback. This was a good match for certain. I wonder why the two was not given when Powell came around on the front headlock and hooked the ankle? Oh well, great match!

If u asked me i really wouldnt say he was outwrestled 98% of the match. He just wasn't finishing in scoring oppurtunities

tough loss for a beat up Ed's team. National powers like St. Ed's will be back. I look forward to them bringing it togeather for State. Barber is a frosh and is getting great experience. Great job by powell after being out wrestled for 98% of the match. great match

I would say the Josh Harper (Mishawaka, IN) and Cashe Quiroga (Lawrence North, IN) match at the Al Smith Invitation would rank up there for "match of the week" honors. Only the second time in his career Harper lost. Not a traditional style match, lots of fun to watch, and the place was electric with excitement.
