Thank you Mr. Douglas for down playing the race issue. Who gives a rat's patoot. What makes it an achievement to win a state championship as a black person. He's human, he's a quality individual. He worked hard and won a championship. What's being African American got to do with it? I'm black. I'll be glad when we can REALLY get beyond race in this country. Kudos Mr. Douglas.

What a class act. He brings attention to all the talented coaches sitting on the sidelines and he makes a bid for them to stay doing what they do best....teaching wrestlers how to wrestle better. He not only has class, he is class.

The only reason Bobby Douglas left ISU was Cael Sanderson was getting offers to coach at Iowa and Ohio State. And they didn't wont to lose Cael like they lost Dan Gable

what about Bobby D as an Olympian or Olympic coach? When I first became a head coach, I met Joe Seay and he recomended technique from BD. My wife, in all her love, bought me his tech videos. That was 10 years ago. The system he uses and the position it teaches still works. Especially to bring beginners along quickly.

Pure class. Watch Coach Douglas' face light up when he talks about his former wrestlers that became medical doctors and you will see the way wrestling should be. It may be old school, but I am proud to be associated with a sport with people like Coach Douglas.

The only reason I don't like Mr. Douglas is that I never wrestled for him. He is a mentor for all skill levels and personalities. I refer to him as the quiet giant. All class.
