My cousin Nick kicked hayes' butt and thats all there is to it! and knowing Nick hes not a poor sport and didnt try to wrestle dirty!!! so all you dirt bags out there knocking nick can kiss my A$$!!! Hayes abviously didnt want to wrestle and had plenty of opportunity to use his hand to brace the fall but landed on his face instead. CONGRATS NICK and good luck at The Ohio State University next year.

Hayes was cleared by the doctore vs. alexander he hit his shoulder and hen after the dr cleared him he started saying he was dissey. that is bs he new he couldnt handle alexander. But that ok if i remember findlays and maysfield schedule next year they should see each other at the bowling green duals and i am sure that alexander will bump to wrestler him, just to prove this kid is a joke and defulting your way to the state tourny is a joke.

heflin did not deserve to win this match with his dirty wrestling. he was consistenly grabbing a 5 on 2 and not the mention the 2 slams.

hefflin is a rough wrestler lotta slams but it doesnt appear to be out of bad sportsmanship from this video just intensity... someone should probably teach him how to bring people down to the mat though and Hayes is a tough mofo

hayes needs to learn how to brace himself for these kind of landings, it happened all through the tournament. they wouldn't have been bad if he didn't move around and freak out while in the air.

read between the lines. There was no slams and it would have been a ridicules call to take it from him. Anyone that has been to state knows that the mats up high sound much worse than it is a a takedown should not be counted as a slam, this is why it is wrestling not for girls. Why would anyone continue to tape such crap.

its not nicks fault he is a man and cory just cant compete with him. he cant help but to slam him if hes going to let him. and any normal person would have put there hands out to stop from hitting there head.

for all you who dont respect cory hayes his words were if im going to win a state title its not going to be this way and he got up after a second slam in a match and continued to wrestle his heart out and gave it his all. Now thats a man not someone who takes advantage of someone who has already had a concussion earlier in the weekend and slams him on it twice. Good Job Cory way to be a man and keep wrestling

so then did hayes really sit out of a district quarterfinal match to get a better chance to get to columbus? most knee injuries are worse the next day. how will this be spun?

Maybe you should look closer at the match and put some glasses on! The sound on the mats are exagerated, ask the officials that knew Nick was a class act kid and would never try to injure anyone purpously! What about the previous match for hayes disqualifying someone beating him 12-0, is this a trend for him?
Hang on pal get your facts straight , the score was 0-0 mid 1st period .if your going to bash my kid at least get it right and like i said he has been wrestling since he was 6 yrs. old and the match with alexander was the first time ever. got it.

Cory's match with alexander was stopped by the dr. He had to be cleared by the dr. at 6:15 before the semi's. First time ever , got up in New jersey, got up in NOC finals against ethan taylor. and got up here. said he didnt want to win that way. Thats how we roll. to all haters say what you will but cory has no regrets he gave it his all. My boys understand wrestling is a tough sport and Heflin is a tough as they come. Coach Riggs is a class act and awesome coach. After what we have been through with cody no one should asume if a kid is hurt or not. leave it to the doctors. My wife and I couldnt be prouder of our sons. thank you for all your support

I've seen Heflin wrestle before. I think he is a dirty wrestler, and a poor sport. He acted like a brat in last years finals were he lost to Jessie Dong. Heflin is a talented wrestler. It's one thing to be agressive, but the extra pushes out of bounds and his attempts to inflict deliberate bodily harm to his opponent are uncalled for.
Heflin was clearly cheated out of the match with dong and his coach even agreed. He acted with complete class and no disrepect unlike yourself posting hateful notes as a coward that knows nothing of wrestling! Your name must describe you as you are. He is an awesome wrestler with a great attiutude!

Someone...   March 8 at 8:01pm
It is clear after watching the video that Hayes broke his fall with his left arm in both of the takedowns, and could have easily better sheltered his head in both. The fact that Hayes could have potentially won this match with a good acting performance and the bad misinterpretation of a move on the refs part shows that the rules and regulations regarding this sequence of events need revisiting.

He just seems to have a bad attitude - seemingly arrogant. With the slam and the one before that - you'd think he'd be careful. Of course, his aggression is part of his style - he's intense & passionate about winning - but his antics are unnecessary.

I'm coming off negative about him - & that really isn't my intention - just what goes around, comes around - too bad Dilley wasn't in the finals - he's a street fighting kid who has a meanstreak. Oh well, congrats Massilon Perry & Hefflin on the title.
