What a match... I admire that Bailey wrestled up....for the team! Too bad his school fell short of the team title.

looked at some results today bailey won the first meeting 3-2, then white won 8-7, with bailey winning the third and final bout. What promising careers these to wrestlers has in no doubt one of the greatest high school matches ever. Good luck to these fellas

that was a great match. I just wished that I didn't read the results before I watched it so I could have waited to see who won. It looks like this one really could have gone either way all the way to the end.

This is by far the best HS wrestling match ever, these guys are going to only make each other better up there at OSU! Congrats to Smith, he should be happy to see these guys coming!

I can't help but think that if it wasn't for the lung injury timeout by Bailey in the 3rd, White would've been able to continue to wear him down, and finish that takedown at the end of regulation....
yeah, i know...woulda, coulda, shoulda.....oh well, what can you do?

I believe it was a takedown. It also appeared to me that should have been a stalemate or even a potentially dangerous call in overtime. Either way, what a great match. There are not a lot of state finals matches in any state with two kids like this going at it.

There is no doubt about it that was a great match. Thanks for getting it on Flow so we can watch it and show everyone who missed it. These two guys are both the real deal. P Ameen made the correct call at the end of regulation. White never establisted contol with one arm drapping on the hip. Good luck to both of these great Oklahoma wrestlers.

that wasn't a takedown at the end of regulation... close, but there was no control. white's left hand was merely on the opposite hip, there was no control of both hips though... bailey's hips were up and he continued wrestling there... something that most high school wrestlers fail to do... that's a credit to both white and bailey being on that elite level... i am not a bailey fan, i actually wanted white to win, but from my experience i know that the refs made the right call at the end of regulation....

This is the promise of wrestling as entertainment fulfilled, two young men who went past physical limits and delved into the darkness of mental toughness. While Bailey won this match, both Bailey and White are winners and all of us who have the chance to watch this match get a win also. White has potential to improve much more in the future. You would hope that this memory burns the fire of competition much hotter in the lad to spur him on to NCAA Divsion 1 success. The OSU Cowboys should make a big come- back in a few years with Perry, Bailey, White, Rupp, Oliver, Morrison, Mead, Foster, Parks, Erisman, and Alfred White as the team backbone.

Well, coming in to this season there were only 19 four time state champs. At state this year, there were 4 people going for thier 4th and all 4 got it. Now there is 23 four-timers in Oklahoma. It was quite a season this year in Oklahoma high school wrestling!

Wow   March 2 at 5:00am
what a friggen match! Looked like 2 at the end of regulation! That was just crazy the offense going back and forth and nobody backing down.

Tho the description of "only the 19th 4x state champ in OK" was a little funny haha. ONLY 19 huh? Some states have only 1!

real question is who is going to have the better college career???
I think they both have promising college careers ahead of them. They will be way different weights and they have completely different styles, but hard to argue Bailey being one of the best defensive wrestlers in the country and he knows how to win. Given that, the fact that White has taken Bailey down this year in three matches more than all the other matches Bailey has wrestled combined you would think he can find some offensive success at the next level.

I think this one has to win it. You couldn't find more evenly-matched guys and they wrestled a helluva match.

That was one of the best matches I have seen in a long time. Looked like White got the takedown at the end of regulation to me but still kept me on the edge of the seat the whole match.
