im going to give it to grajales he has a perfect shot that i dont think anyone in the country can defend. but if it came down to it david taylor would win hands down... mostly because he is a more well rounded wrestler!

Anonymous coward,

He just beat Dane from PA (your 3x state champ) and did make him look like a jv kid. Regardless of the state he is from, he continues to beat the best the nation has to offer. There is no need for him to go back to PA to beat someone else up. He deserves credit from anyone who appreciates the great sport of wrestling. We need more kids like him to promote it, not trash talkers to bash him. As for him and DT, im pullin for Eric but i am sure it would be one of the best high school matches ever!

Both were on US team since neither is from PA. Dapper Dan chose kids weights. They gave Grajales a match at 140 with 3x state champ. Taylor got a kid who came in 2nd at 135. Both pinned after large leads. Doesn't tell you much about who would win.

I have seen Grajales wrestle 5 or 6 times. All againts quality wrestlers, some even from PA. He makes state champs look like jv kids. As far as his age that is just good planning on his parents part to start him a year later than the norm. I have seen this done many times in football as well as basketball and yes in our sport. You just don't hear about it because without talent that year seldom makes a difference. Parents try to give their kids an edge in life (at least some). Also he is within age limit. Now Pa has the most guys in NCCA tny so I guess that settles who the best state is for raising good wrestlers but every now and then a different state produces the nations best high school wrestler (sanderson, grajales, etc). Get over it. Just say theres always next year. ( just like big 10 football teams do after facing Florida)
Congraits Eric!

there were 7 AA champs on the PA team i would have to say 5 of them were JACK THE GIANT KILLERS tonight MY O MY O MY look who fell and hit the ground MANGO,ORTIZ,SCALES,DYAR and shame on you PERRY. So you can not say AA and AAA in PA there is a different level of wrestler. They are all bread to win. Congratulations to ERIC GRAJALES for being THE OUTSTANDING WRESTLER. ERIC if you have what those 5 PA boys have when it comes to a big challenge i believe you could beat DAVID TAYLOR A EVEN BE A 4 TIME NCAA CHAMP AND AN OLYMPIC CHAMP. If you do not have HEART you will become a LOOSER. We will find out if you have the heart in the future or not you either have it or you dont . We will find out if it was instilled in you by your brother , father , mother , or coach. Maybe they tried and maybe you did not give a crap we will find out in the future . GOOD LUCK I HOPE YOU HAVE IT 2 YEAR HIGH SCHOOL RED SHIRT

for seniors, i believe he will try and make the weight, I'm not so sure he's big enough for 60kg. Fargo, i doubt it because he has nothing left to prove, and this would be MY REASON, I think at that point (July) he'll be focusing on wrestling as a true frosh for michigan. (personally, I hope he and kellen russell redshirt next year)

Eric Grajales would destroy Eric Spjut. And the Grajales v. Taylor match could go either way. I'm from Florida so I'm pullin for Grajales but Taylor's technique is untouchable. It'll definitely be a good thing for them to wrestle. But mainly so all this talk will stop.

Alton v. Palmer 5-3 Alton
Taylor v. Palmer 8-5
Taylor 4x Ironman 179-2 career 150?+ in a row. most not even close!
Taylor 2005 Cadet Nationals Champion @91 lbs. FS 2005 Cadet National 2nd @ 91 lbs. GR, 2006 Division II State Champion @ 103 lbs. 2006 Cadet Nationals Champion @ 103 lbs. 2007 Division II State Champion @ 103 lbs. 2007 Junior National Champion @ 105 lbs. 2007 FILA World All-American @ 110 lbs.,

2x Super 32 champ
All he does is win. So him beating anyone is no surprise. Losing would be.
ISU is getting a great one. Fanthorpe v. Taylor for 141 or 149 spot. WOW

Coming from Florida and being at the Championships Grajales looked a little sloppy, but I have seen him wrestle the likes of Oliver and wrestle extremely well. For those wanting to know who Grajales has beat? Last year there was big hype over him and Oliver. Grajales went 2-1 against him. He beat Alton this year who, in my eyes, but on display some beautiful takedown skills against Palmer at the Ironman! The same Alton that is ranked #1 at 140! I want to see this match between the two so bad! Some one is going to have to get a camera in the room when they are wrestling to see what is up!

hey RETARD in not calling you one buts thats your call name...neways to correct you DT beat Collin not Lance, Lance is the 149lb. wrestler for OSU and already is a 4 timer, but ne ways, DT and Grajales would be a good match with DT beating him 6-3, thats a prediction, but we'll see hopefully sometime soon, if not, it will happen in college
reply

I Dunno..   February 23 at 8:42pm
guy below me is stupid said:
Are you ed or something? Eric is a four timer now, he is ranked number 1 at 135, he wont get his ass beat in college, he will do awesome, he will all-american freshman year and he could take it twice. What have you done in college? Or even high school for that matter? Nada, so off cause Eric Grajales would whipp your ass and he would beat david taylor
don't underrate DT. It could go to either one, Grajales is LOTS of strength, speed, and power. DT is ALL technique.

personally i'm pullin for taylor, but it'll be a great match either way.

I don't like him saying Taylor didn't respond or whatever. Ok, maybe he didn't (but he would if he didn't), but either way don't make it look like it's all on Taylor. He said he wanted to wrestle you, then you came back with some WWE or MMA trash talk (do it in the street, parking lot etc?). I don't know what to believe, but if it doesn't happen I will still think to myself that Taylor is the better wrestler. What a shame, I would have liked to see that match.

tj,

Grajales CAN'T go to Sr Nationals. Too many days missed from school:
Dapper Dan, Bulgaria (paid USA Wrestling Greco Trip) and NCAA's (his brother Cesar competes at UPenn)
And yes, the Taylors DID not respond/no to do it as a side event. I completely understand that, and NO ONE, in Florida or Ohio, is blaming either side for this match not getting done. It just looks like it's not meant to be unfortunately.

How about you go to Senior Nationals? There won't be any problem getting the match with Taylor there.

I highly doubt that Taylor ever neglected to respond or said no.
