good match, however the stalling calls were questionable, especially the point when navy got the takedown ... look forward to seeing both wrestlers in the future

after watching this match several times my thoughts are the stalling calls were correct, the name of the game is to shoot and be aggressive, nobody like a wrestler who is going to counter all the time. Again great match and Im really glad to see Bryce win the match.

i feel they were tentative to hit ciasulli with stalling but eager to hit kyler with stalling

Those stall calls against Kyler were an insult to wrestling. How in the world could anyone watch Kyler's excellent counter-offense and continuous pressure and believe it to be stalling? I'm saying this as a Maryland guy who roots for Navy. That said, this was one of the best wrestled matches I've seen in a while, by both guys. The scramble in the first overtime period was downright filthy.

GREAT MATCH!!! GREAT INTENSITY! I'm very glad Saddoris is representing Nevada like he is. Next up representing Nevada at this level will be Stephen Hernandez.

Great wrestling by both guys and good sportsmanship. Bad ref i just don't see how you call that second stall call, the Navy kid backed up the whole time when he wasnt shooting. Great scrambling tho.

Yeah, I think the second stalling call was a load of crap. Total BS, if the ref wanted to call stalling, he needed to do it about 4 seconds earlier. I wouldn't say he "gave him the match", but that was definitely a gift. He did go after it in OT, I will give him that. Great match, both wrestlers wrestled hard. You can see that Saddoris wrestles just to slow down Kyler. It's especially apparent if you watch their dual meet from 2 weeks ago. It makes it really tough for Kyler to attack him. I think a fourth bout this year would go the other way, but look for both wrestlers to earn All-American status in 2 weeks. Good luck!

Beast, did you watch the same match I did? Saddoris dominated the match in shots taken.

I hear what you are saying about the movement on their feet. Kyler backed up Saddoris most of the time they were in ties. That is not the same as backing up to avoid contact or with intent to just block. Kyler did not attempt a shot the entire second period. Saddoris took two. In the third Saddoris initiated the first shot attempt -- after taking the last two attempts in the second -- which was when Kyler was warned for stalling just before he took his only attempt of the period. The stalling clock doesn't reset at each period. After that Saddoris took three more shot attempts to none for Kyler who was IMO trying to protect the lead. It was after this last shot attempt Kyler got called for stalling. Overall Kyler took one shot over the second and third periods while Saddoris took six. Saying he was "given" the match and characterizing it as an "atrocity" a bit over the top when it is clearly not that black and white.

Typically I wouldn't even post but this match was given to Sadorris (not to say he didn't wrestle hard, he wrestles very hard). For everyone out there who watches the match and reads my comment tell me how many times Sadorris moves forward during the match, he backed up the entire tme except for when he shot...Kyler continued to move forward and wrestle the entire match. It is an atrocity that the ref decided this match. Explain how Kyler gets hit for stalling in the third period for the first time after only one shot...ONE SHOT how many times have you seen a kid get hit for stalling after one shot twenty second into that period? And what does Kyler do right after that shot...he reshoots to a single and then takes another shot to a double. It's f*****g horrible...I don't believe the ref cared who won or was out to get Kyler, simply put he just blew it! I will say I thought both wrestled fantastic and both are going to be extremely tough to beat it two weeks. Best of luck to both and all our EIWA qualifiers.

Hmmm   March 8 at 11:55pm
questionable stalling calls on Kyler in regulation...the first warning was especially ridiculous...and I'm a NAVY fan.
otherwise, it was a great match, with a surefire flo scramble of the week to boot
