Harvard's must be just a little bit more familiar than Cornell's I guess.

My guess is they might be a little more familiar with it than you are. Manson got jobbed.

A takedown shall be awarded when, from the neutral position, a contestant
gains control by taking the opponent down to the mat in bounds and beyond
reaction time.

Corey Manson dominated this match and deserved to win. Even the unbiased commentators noted this, especially when Jantzen used an injury timeout. Jantzen was on the retreat for the last 8 minutes of the match. It is a shame that bad officiating cost a young man with extraordinary work ethic and great talent a chance at a conference championship. This ref was a joke. Disappointing.

Not a good match for Jantzen, but that left knee's given him problems his whole college career, had surgery on it over the summer, people think it's an excuse of course. Manson's wondering what he's gotta do for a takedown. I have an idea, take him down in such a way that you control him and he can't funk out of it in half a second.

jantzen broke, was backing up, and was taken down. the ref blew it as bad as I have seen in a while.

Manson took it to Jantzen! The ONLY time Jantzen did anything was at the beginning of the match and after his b.s. "injury" time out. That was a TRAVESTY.

jantzen did stall his way to the win, but the ref made the right calls

is necessary for a takedown. It's not in the fine print people.

I'm a New Yorker...and I gotta say that Jantzen looked terrible. He stalled the entire match...but was good enough to win, thanks to a very solid defense.

I'm predicting a DNP at nationals.

the ref wanted manson to control his other leg, but he didn't and pointed that out clearly. well ref'ed. jantzen beat him. suck it up.

Manson won that match, that ref needs to get his act together and there should be some type of penalty or fine against them. No whizzer, flat on his butt, what more do you want ? JUNK.

Jantzen was lucky there... Manson is gonna be dangerous with those workout partners for a few more years.

Cory deserved that match all the way. The kid never had control and they both wrestled hard. Corey won.

930-940 was a takedown. We need better refs at the EIWA's.
