Wrestling has always been a part of Bart Horton. As a child he would pester the high school athletes on his dads wrestling team and always was around for his dad?s practices. He developed into a state champ in Iowa and stayed close to his Iowa roots by attending Iowa State University. Under Bobby Douglas Bart became an All- American his senior year.

After college Bart fell into the head assistant position with Brian Smith of Missouri. At the time Missouri was a program in disarray but Bart helped build the program to become a national powerhouse.

In the summer of 2007 Bart Horton was offered the Head Assistant position at the Air Force Academy. He took the job and currently is looking to take the program to new heights.
