I'm not very fond of the head piches, and I usually only use head pinches as a last resort kind of tactic, however this is good to know and I'll use this the next time I use the football tie to front head pinch. Good stuff.

I agree, enough with the freaking head pinches. Also, just a recommendation but it would be nice if the new technique on Tuesdays weren't one of the ones already posted in the technique wave section. It kind of makes technique Tuesdays lame for those who purchased the wave.
Love your stuff on YouTube. I want to thank you for posting the videos from those clinics. I used Zeke Jones' S. leg drills for our freestyle club this year, and plan on using his hip heist drills this fall. Thanks again.

I don't understand why you all have a problem with more head pinches. There are a lot of highly effective moves a wrestler can use when in this situation. Also, there are so many different ways to get into it easily: From head snaps, downblocks, scrambles, par terre, when a guy hip heists from a stand-up, etc... Maybe the reason we are seeing so many variations is Flowrestling wants to give us a technique SERIES to use and pass on. Build from the basics and learn more set ups and finishes. Marc Grindstaff teaches these techniques to kids from an early age. Look at the success his kids have had. Jimmy Belleville most recently. It's a solid fundamental that is too often overlooked. I love to see it reinforced.

Joe looks to be two days away from the best shape of his life. Technique Wave is awesome, the database is starting to get deep and it keeps getting better and better. Great stuff, thanks FLO!

Football Tie To Front Head Pinch

The football tie sets up the front head pinch. It is a simple move and the reason it is called the football tie because you carry your opponent's head like a football. After you fake for a leg you get on top of your opponent with their head being the football. The key to the success of the move is the transition to the head pinch. The faster the transition the more effective the move will be.
