anonymous coward, i was drill partners with habit a year ago at burnetts. this kid is not over rated. think about how many kids wrestle in ohio, and how many get third as a freshman and a sophmore. he is extremely strong for his size and one hell of a smart wrestler.

To Ohio: What you do not see in this video is Dave's massive gut. He is packing at least 50 pounds below the camera level pal, trust me. I heard Dave will be the Santa Claus this year at Macy's, big slob. He will make 145 easy!

as long as u make weight and are hydrated, you can have 2 percent body fat, the whole body fat thing is to tell you how low you can wrestle, but if youve already made the weight, and are hydrated, you can wrestle wherever you want, this is the same for every other state that has alpha testing, to my knowledge,

They don't make them much tougher in tournaments than Dave Habot. This young man lost an overtime heartbreaker in the quarterfinals last year at the state tourney in Columbus, Ohio and shook off the ensuing torrent of negative emotions to win his next 5 matches in a row to take 3rd place, a feat often called more difficult than 1st place. A true warrior and just the type of gritty tournament wrestler that often draws the eyes of elite college program scouts. Good luck Mr. Rubble in the Super 32, bring back some hardware along with those big flat feet!

Does Ohio follow the same weight cert process as the rest of the nation ? He looks like he's in shape. Not carrying alot of extra weight. If he weighes 160 now, he would have to be at 16% BF to certify at 145.
This is not a knock against Habat, he is a great kid but it speaks volumes about what a scam the weight cert process is. I am sure some have to follow the rules, some may not....but they all pay...that's for sure.
Good luck to Habat, he is a very talented wrestler and a nice kid.
