Ben Askren is a great wrestler. But he shouldn't have shoot his mouth that he would win the gold. For example John Smith one of the greatest American Wrestler of all time didn't shoot of his mouth he, he respected his opponets. From the way he handled himself on and off the mat, he will be remeberd for every.

Askren working out with Lee Kemp is interesting. Kemp's in pretty good shape for a 50+ year old (which is a massive understatement)

Don't forget Cormier, world bronze medalist, you are silly to not have mentioned him TJ X. He is our best shot at gold. I am sure they will have mat wrestling covered, but i agree there is not enough concentration on it. We get turned and cannot turned, and that is a killer at the international level. My predictions Cejudo: best case bronze. Schwab: not going to medal. Askren: he could go out immediately or win the gold and i wouldn't be terribly surprised. I'm going to say he medals. Hrovat: will not medal Cormier: Gold possibly. Mocco: possible medalist.

I will give my honest unbiased prediction of how our guys will fare at the upcoming Beijing Olympic Games. Based on what I have watched throughout the trials and these practices, I think we have a young team with a lack of experience on the international level which will hurt us in the final medal count. I think our overall mat wrestling leaves much to be desired which often hurts us on the world level (Ben Askren being the exception). Did you notice throughout this entire clip, no mat wrestling. I am sure they practice it but they really do not commit themselves in competition to turning people and often look inept on top.

I believe Ben Askren is our only legitimate chance to medal and the guys on the bubble would include Henry Cejudo, Doug Schwab who seems to be coming into his own, and Steve The Monster Mocco. The Russians have a scary team in my opinion and Iran is always right there at the top, both very deep teams with a boatload of experience at this level. Therefore, if we have a GREAT week at the Games, I believe we can walk away with no more than 4 medals, NO GOLDS. Just my opinion, let the mudslinging begin.

Is this not the GREATEST wrestling site in history? To be able to watch something like this, the frickin Olympic team and olympic coaches, practicing. This could only be dreamed about years ago by guys like me who never came close to this level but thanks to Martin and the staff at Flo, it is now possible to be able to watch the greatest wrestlers and coaches on the planet practice! I love this, keep it coming Martin!
