Cejudo was awesome. His conditioning and mental toughness was obvious, as was his will and technique. His single is quick as hell and the guy is very confident. Way to represent!!! Can't wait for Schwab tonight.

I can't help but think back on the brutal Brands' conditioning sessions and the mountain sprints Henry was doing, as seen in the Flowrestling videos, and how he turned it on in the 3rd periods of his matches. if you do some research you will find that cejudo beat the crap out of simmons already. henry is amazing and proved that he deserved the spot. all of you trying to defend abas need to realize that injuries are a part of wrestling. sure, abas was probably not the same guy at the trials that he was at the last olympics but he wouldn't be able to wrestle at the same level in beijing either.

I went to the trials at saw:
Henry won match 1 of 3 with agility and speed. Abas won match 2 of 3 because of experience and will. Henry won match 3 of 3 because he got momentum and Abas realized that he was losing before the match was over. Abas showed a lot of pain, but there are no excuses in wrestling. Abas showed up to win regardless of pain and fell short. Both are great wrestlers and their match was fun to watch. I think that Henry, who is representing our country, probably has a better sense of patriotism than those who push the "mexican bigotry". I guarantee that the ignorant posters only wish they could be in his league. Gold medals are given to those who earn it, not always to those we think deserve it.

Henry won plain and simple. He was obviously training to beat Abas and it shows with his lack of respect in his comments. Perhaps if he respected him more he would not be sitting there talking at all.
Bottom line, Henry wasn't there to make friends and have a fan club on the internet, he was there to win, he is backed up by an Iowa legend who was hell bent at doing the same during his tenure and obviously it's rubbing off. Every wrestler will come off the mat with their own opinion of their oppent. We (the fans) were just watching, but Cejudo was really out there and he knows how hard he hit that move that injured him. I've known Henry for three year's and watch him destroy his high school weight cles. Ive watch him out move and out score his oppent at Jr. FILA's like they were standing still. I like how both wrestlers give props to Henry after the match. Funny considering abas has been off for over 3 years and was wrestling with one leg. I talked to my brother this morning and he said he heard from a teammate (at Illinois) who was at the OTC at the time, that a healthy Abas was dominating Cejudo at the OTC. This teammate said that it was so bad, that Cejudo started avoiding Abas and didn't wrestle with him the rest of the camp.
used to think that cejudo was cool. now he turns out to be a chump! you only beat abas cuz he wasn't 100%. you know he kicks your "kitten" azz in the otc room. yeah....you know it.

The problem with Henry is he shows no respect for people who are already established and proven on the World stage. It is good to be confident, but this is total disrespect. I still believe that Brands had some influence in having Abas on the other side of the bracket. If Henry would have met him in the second round there would have been a different outcome. I think the best finals this year would have been Abas and Henson. 2 proven world cl athletes going at it. Henry knows on his best day he could not beat or never will beat a healthy Abas or Henson. Henry Cejudo
Cejudo was awesome. His conditioning and mental toughness was obvious, as was his will and technique. His single is quick as hell and the guy is very confident. Way to represent!!! Can't wait for Schwab tonight.

Henry won match 1 of 3 with agility and speed. Abas won match 2 of 3 because of experience and will. Henry won match 3 of 3 because he got momentum and Abas realized that he was losing before the match was over. Abas showed a lot of pain, but there are no excuses in wrestling. Abas showed up to win regardless of pain and fell short. Both are great wrestlers and their match was fun to watch. I think that Henry, who is representing our country, probably has a better sense of patriotism than those who push the "mexican bigotry". I guarantee that the ignorant posters only wish they could be in his league. Gold medals are given to those who earn it, not always to those we think deserve it.
You proved to us all that you deserve to be in the Olympics representing the USA.
Abas is an american and will root for Cejudo, so follow his lead and do the same.
Lets just say Stephan has some legal problems awaiting his return to Denver.
He is not a great role model, but one hell of a wrestler. I am very suprised by the negative reaction to Cejudo on here. Now that I can see the video, I think you all need to chill out.
Anyone who saw the match saw Abas was tired, no big deal, he stalled a little to catch his breadth, it happens to everyone. Calling him a possum for taking a breather is not really a big deal, and it is not disrespectful either, IMO

He was there for war, so congratulate him on his victory and don't address what he should and shouldn't say unless you can earn his seat.

his match in the semi's he took a long injury time out and stood up and took the national champ right down for the win and onto throwing shirts in the crowd. Then his first match in the finals he was waving his finger at his opponent and standing up and sticking his leg out, mocking and not respecting his opponent. his actions show that he was playing and gonna walk thru the finals. maybe just a lil too overconfident. It happens to the best athletes mike tyson vs. buster douglas comes to mind
