Parker is a beast i have to give him credit. But there is a guy from my school that would destroy him. His name is Jon Farnell. Undefeated this year and still going strong.

He was not the best 215 in the nation for no reason

dubose is a pansy of course hes gonna wear a knee brace around so it doesnt look like he was faking and whats he up to now maybe he should try to stay out of trouble like assaulting people over there in michigan so much for his career

Why do the Minnesota people get on here and start trying to excuse Parker Brand from losing that match? If it makes you feel better, whatever. Funny thing is, the ones making fun of Marcel say he didn't even get hurt; why the next day did he wear a knee brace? I don't think Marcel is a faker at all. Just like Anonymous said, Marcel would have won anyways.

Even if dubose wouldn't have stopped the match due to his shoulder injury, he still would have won that math.

He was beating the kid 8 to 6 when they where rolling on the mat, and from the looks of it, either one of them was going to score any points from that position. He clearly won this match fair and square.

the racial comments are completely unnessesary and the person typing them most likely would not utter them to dubose's face. and the guy is wearing a mask because MI coaches and wrestlers cant compete in national events due to MI rules. so he has to keep annoyminity about him self

He was having back problems those whole time. He even talks about it in his interview. Why do u think he was riding legs w/o any hip pressure? Back problems. Thats why started yelling. Did he exaggerate? No idea. But I know he was having issues the whole time. And you are right, flo needs to have registered only people posting. And if you make idiot remarks more than 3 times, ur gone.

You know that if you wouldn't have started yelling for the match to stop, Parker would have pinned you.

The coach has a mask so the MHSAA can't punish him for coaching. Its not a fashion statement. The MHSAA with is the governing body in Michigan high school sports doesn't allow athletes or coaches to participate in high school national events. If they do they lose a year of eligibility. Thats why you will only see MI wrestlers at senior nationals.

"you shouldn't read this then, if your offended. winning is more than stalling and faking isn't it? talent needs to come into play sometimes, right? that's where Brand got screwed over, he's the better wrestler and actually came to wrestle." You shouldn't read this then if you are offended?? That's nice logic. Racist remarks? Really necessary? It was a good match. I don't really understand how you can justify saying the things you're saying. He could have been hurt, he could have been faking. He won... bottom line. He outwrestled him for a lot of the match, and then held on. Cry about it.

To me, thats the main problem with wrestling popularity. There is just as much standing around as there is wrestling. I dont care if he is hurt or not. Make him wrestle or get off the mat. No injury timeouts. But Dubose was obviously tired the way he walked to the center on his knees, because he was too lazy to get up and huslte back. He sure could sprawl good for a injured wrestler. He won fair and square according to the stupid rules.

Just in case you haven't figured out Flowrestling comment section!!
People come on here and make comments to make others think they are someone else. My guess is MN people are not even the ones saying these things. Go look at other videos and read the comments and the names put behind them. They are fake and stupid. If Flo can't monitor the comments section they need to just get rid of it. There is so much trash, swearing, and sex comments on here it's crazy. It ruins our sport and demeans the value of these videos and the hard work the kids put in.

the ref let Dubose get away with it, what was Brand gonna do, he was obviously tired but still ready to compete, Dubose needed a rest. Brand was better, cuz Dubose would have lost if he didn't get that rest.

with a coach wearing a mask like that, "team Dubose" isn't doing much for the sport either, plus I believe he was faking, too bad he didn't just wrestle
reply

Interchangeable   April 2, 2008 at 2:34pm
Y'all are talking so poorly about Dubose, but it's you people posting comments that are truly disgraceful to the sport, giving wrestling poor publicity, and YOU are the ones who look pathetic. Insulting a high school kid, making racist remarks, very pathetic.

These posts are much more pathetic than any fake injury timeout could have been.

And how can you not be impressed by his performance at senior nationals? How can you not give him credit for the match? It's not like Brand didn't have a say in what happened, he could have wrestled better and won. That's about all there is to it. Don't leave it up to lung timeouts.

That said, if they were fake injuries or lung timeouts, that's really not cool, and I would never advocate something like that.

this was a hell of a match. the kid from minisoda was better but its tough to defend against freek strength with steroid use. I think that kid was roidin not only cuz he's redicuoulsy jacked, but cuz he became injured so quickly. If he was natural, his muscles and tendons would be almost impossible to impair.
