Entertaining match. Interestingly enough, Lester's brother also faced a New Yorker in the finals. That match was not as intriguing as the Missouri kid dominated in that one.

Great over-time match. Both guys should be proud in getting to the finals. Ekstrom had a good game plan in this final and also in the simi's with Kyle West, who is a out standing wrestler from CA. It seems that Ekstrom always has the upper hand. It appeared that Lester was suffering from a hand injury and fatigue. I guess the better condition athlete won this Junior National Match!Congratulations NY...

Ekstrom is very quick and explosive on his feet very tough to take down. He has had a great season, 3x state champ and now national champ, only two loses early in the season and one was to Nevinger.

Alex is a bad man! He's my boy.

If you guys didnt know Ekstrom beat Paddock during the season, he also beat Nic Stella who was ranked #1 in NYS and Mike Navinger who won states at 140. Ekstrom is a dominant wrestler.

To Weak Weight Class? You have to stop. Both guys came in number one and two in the nation. I am sure that is better than you can say you have done yourself. Lester did slow down the match. Look at his match against Nevinger. He slowed it down. Great job Ekstrom!

Sloppy? I'd call it gritty, but not sloppy. Just because there's not a lot of flash doesn't mean it's a crap match. Ekstrom can light up very good wrestlers, I think Lester slowed things down pretty well.

I agree with JoeSmoe. NY should have recieved 1 for escape and 2 for takedown. Tough match and great job by both guys. NY brought it home at the end of the day with a great shot. He just wanted it more.

Very quick count on those final backpoints (not that it would have affected the outcome). Lester into nearfall criteria at 9:17 on the flo counter and out by 9:20, yet the ref awards three.

It didn't look like a reversal in the second period, could of been a escape takedown for NY
