the first time he beat bergman was a fluke (his big ass bounced when it hit the mat and rolled on top of him), the second time he beat him was the closest to a 'true' victory he's gotten over him all year, and the third time was because everytime he wanted an f'ing siesta, he looked at the ref and got blood time. as far as him personally, he is smart . . .smart enough to cut his head before the match so that it would bleed and he could get some oxygen in his fat gut whenever he needed it.

I know Fox, too, and he's focused, dedicated to whatever he's doing, and smart as a whip. No one gets to the top in this sport without that. The nasty commentary on this blog sounds like sour grapes to me.

Fox did wrestle Konrad (they were in the Big 10 together) and lost.
As far as saying that this weight class was a joke or that they are not athletes is absurd. Not many guys the size of Fox (or even smaller)can go as long as he does on the mat with all those overtimes. And lets not forget that JD is a 3X all-american and two of those AA came at 197. I do believe if JD had another 30 pounds he would have been the better man but he wasn't and congrats to Fox on a well earned National Title.

As a side note Konrad did not look very good when he was being thrown around by Tommy Rowlands but he deserved his Title when he was a senior.

This is one STUDENT athlete who has been focused on improving his wrestling skills for years as well as preparing for his world off the mat! He deserves it!
