Have you even watched Perry wrestle? He turned Johny Hendricks WITH LEGS IN 3rd period. It was beautiful, far from stalling. Perry is a tough kid and wouldn't fake an injury, it wouldn't have been to his advantage for him to "fake" at that point anyways.

I remember watching this match in St. Louis and thinking that the 2 was a little premature. I was curious so I reviewed the video footage about 10-15 times. Perry is clearly a wrestler with excellent skills, and I would never take that from him, but in studying the match I have to say that it was very clear that there was no point in time during that scramble situation that Perry "established control". The referee definitely screwed up. Which becomes upsetting when you view the rest of the bout and recognize that Marable had an excellent takedown and clearly established himself as the aggressor throughout the match. I'm not an Iowa or Missouri fan (just a fan of good wrestling), but it was obvious to me that Marable was the better wrestler during this bout. He attacked more and created several scoring opportunities. Perhaps if the bout had gone into overtime Perry would have triumphed, but if the rest of the match was an indicator of what would have happened in the overtime that SHOULD HAVE taken place, I would definitely have put my money on Marable.

Yes Perry is such a good actor he even took 2 months off of wrestling so he could tell people that he had knee surgery so that in the NCAA finals when he screams it will seem legitimate. YOU MORONS. When he was screaming do you realize that he was right where he wanted DR. T? He ends up in that position all the time and scores from there, thats not a spot where he would want to act hurt anyways..

No apology necessary...i was always frustated by legs...back in the old days they did not start you back up so quickly or at all for that matter...we were not nearly as strong as the guys are today...only had our slick as a cat technique and good looks to rely on...we had our problems...with internet these guys can strategize for each individual...Perry and Iowa won fair and square...everybody knows what they need to do for future success...it's no great secret anymore...thank goodness for Flo!!!!

strategy was to shorten the match since ET probably better if match was longer...planned lung break...a little too dramatic though...obviously nothing popped or tore...i repeat obviously...wrestled for Wm & Mary in 70's...beat Mills once...i don't think i'm a moron even though i did hit the bong back in the day...nobody seems to shake hands like a gentleman anymore...whats up with that...people don't realize its the journey not the end result...different world today...but wrestling still so much better than all the other sports...

how is leg riding stalling? you are a moron. Anyone who has had legs thrown in on them knows that you can get up from the bottom when someone has the legs in. The question is can you get up without getting out of position. Most can't and therefore they lay on the mat and hope the ref's stop the match.

You heard it from someone who's been to both places. Iowa has a higher standard. "There's nowhere like Iowa when it comes to wrestling"
