A few things that need to change for the betterment of wrestling. 1) be consistent with the rules i.e. if you are going to take Rutgers only team point away because Lamar Brown took his singlet straps down after shaking his opponent's coach's hand, then you need to take points away from Iowa and OK State for their coaches spending so much time in the middle of the mat. 2)Pushing doesn't constitute wrestling. If you never put yourself at risk by attempting legitimate takedowns you shouldn't be rewarded with stalling calls i.e. watch any Iowa wrestlers that know they don't have the technical abilities of their opponent. They push and block without ever making a real attempt at a takedown and hope they can steal the match at the end (Slaton/Gomez & Borschel/Gavin)3)Are you'll aware that the rules committee was actually going to kick coaches out of the arena because their wrestlers didn't pass the shave test? Seriously, we're talking about shaving. These guys bust their ass, like no other athlete, for 6 long months and the rules committee is worried about whether someone used a bic or a quattro. 4) I don't know if I have the answer for overtime but this winning by riding time just didn't seem fair, (Gomez won 2 matches by a 11 sec and 4 sec respectivly)especially because, it seemed, that a lot of the wrestlers didn't know that it was happening.

Nice to see that people have pride in their state but stick to facts. Most of the wrestlers who wrestle in the Dapper dan from PA do not wrestle at The High School Senior Nationals. Plus The are seniors not thw best wrestlers in the state some have finished as low as 8th and still wrestled in the Dapper Dan Classic. If you need more proof...look at the artical in W.I.N. that gives the break down of each state and how many All-Americans each state has had. Ohio has 1/2 as many All- Americans. So before just spouting out that you state is the best know the facts.

Depends on how you look at it. PA qualified the most for Nationals (46). OH was next closest with 31. OH had most All Americans (9). PA, NJ and MI all had 8. OH had the most guys in the finals as well (5) with 3 Champs. Overall, PA and OH pretty even. PA maybe a little more depth while OH has a few more "super recruits" or blue chips.

What the heck happened to NY ? They used to have a team or two ranked and would send some quality guys out to Div. 1 programs.

PA states are much tougher than Ohio because there are only two divisions. Ohio if they limited the classes they would have a much tougher state tournament. PA had more at nationals also PA is the best wrestling state you can't argue. Dapper Dan is a great place to see that yes PA loses but last year PA wrestled the dream team and lost by one point. Ohio New Jersey yes they are tough but PA as a whole is the best in the country

Pa is still the best in wrestling. Check out the High School rankings. Ohio does have the top spot but PA has 6 teams in the top 40 and Ohio has 3. Also, Pa has more College programs and Penn State is back in the top 5. To finish it out check out how many PA guys are not even wrestling in PA colleges.

PA wrestling is good, i'll give you that. but look at how many of the AA's were from Ohio, more than PA. also, tOSU is now a dominant force in college wrestling once again. plus, all of the premier names in high school wrestling are from OH as well. taylor the steibers phillips etc. we will dominate for years to come

Nasty fan is always lurking about ready to piss on someone's parade. Nasty fan probably never wrestled or was a fish, but knows everything about the sport. Nasty fan hates anyone who wears a different color. Not really a fan of the sport, just a putz. He's the guy that drives the rest of us crazy.

YOU LOST SCOTT!!!!! You and your coaches need to shut up. If you got that takedown, then you should have won right? No one took that match from you but yourself.

Is he still whining about "getting the only takedown and losing"? Guerrero was b****ing about that on another interview. You couldn't ride him on top, and you couldnt get out. Makes sense to me that you lost.
