How can you say Team Central dogdes competition?? You wrestle everyone at state no matter what class your team is! Team Central splits up the room to make coaching easier, why slow down the already advanced kids to the pace of the new and less experienced ones? If you do that than no one gets better. Apparently Not a Fan and others slamming TCW are either jealous or mad.
Not a fan even if team central is in a smaller class if you look at the points for teams, team central still would have won by a large margin (80 pts) and team central does not recruit kids, kids ask to join team central for the coaching and the practice partners
I think if you were to look at the youth state team points, Team Central would have run away with any of the classes. Moreover, I think they would have won some age groups had they combined the two (8 and under?). How can you knock such a dominant, successful and simply good group of people- they get the job done. Adding the two together would likely mean more team points and wider margins at state which sounds great: I think that only points to the fact that the program is acting in the best interest of developing both the new and experienced level of wrestlers and less concerned about remaining in a smaller class.
How can you even say that they duck the big boys, Team Central has an advanced group of kids that travel to all national tournaments all over the country, just to get a hold of the big boys. Park Hill youth is not a novice team, just another group who are not as advanced and/or beginners needing the extra instruction that the advanced do not need. Again as I believe already stated Park Hill nor Victory have to do recruiting, they both have kids from all over Kansas City that ask to come over either for workout partners or to join the team. not a fan should get facts straight before making assumptions outloud. The wrestlers on that advanced team chase competition every weekend so I thing being scared to compete at state NOT AN ISSUE

So is Team Park Hill a novice team? Does Victory have a separate team? If they are a novice team how do they compete at state. Face it, you have two teams so you stay in Class 2 and win it. If you really had guts you would operate under one umbrella and see how you really stack up and stop ducking the big boys.
Team Central is for the advanced kids whereas Team Park Hill is for the beginners. They have seperate practice times in seperate locations of the school. Not a fan of recruiting kids... no way Team Central loses to Victory (who has kids from Platte City, Liberty etc.) You are laughable. Victory and Team Central are both for promoting quality wrestling in the Kansas City area. Kids are not exclusive to the clubs in their hometown. Promote Missouri wrestling and stop complaining.

See the 2008 State results. Team Park Hill (PHY) got 21 place in Class 3 the big class. Team Central Park Hill (TCW)got 1st in Class 2. Put them together and they still lose to Victory.

I would like Team Central if they only had one Team Central. When you divide your room into two separate teams so you can fill one with studs and keep those numbers low so you can stay in the smaller class II, that's unfair. If your program was so good you would combine the teams compete in the big class and then spout your horn. Until the playing field is level I will never consider Team Central an elite program. Also, stop recruiting kids to come to your program. They are kids.
Purler has no bearing on what kids are in the room. Neither Keck or Park Hill have to recrute, parents and wrestlers flock to the room for the workout partners and the reputation that is there. Give credit where is belongs.
i absolutely love team central. the parents, coaches...the whole wrestling family is involved and concerned that we do our best. no wonder we have so many state champs.
Jason, great job. I'm very proud of the job you're doing. Glad we had such great parents to show us the example of dedication. Keep up the fantastic work. None of this surprises me a bit. Shawn Hi Richard, Marilyn and Jennifer. You have a great son there love you all
The dedication at Team Central is admiring. The coach's spend 100's of hours coaching with no money involved but so much respect and pride.Jason, loves what he does but more. He not only gives his knowledge to the boys but also his heart. The proff is in the champs.
Building confidence and team building in kids...doesn't get much better than this. I admire the dedication of the coach and the parents of Team Central. Keep going, guys!
You won't find a better program anywhere. Coaching is outstanding and program is well organized. Team Central prides itself is calling itself "family" and it truly is - all members look out for each other and support and care for the welfare, safety and upbringing of the boys. We travel out of our neighborhood and go some distance to join this wonderful group. If you check the number of boys that go to State you will know Team Central is the place to be.
Team Central is coached by Jason Keck. He is a feeder program to the high schools in the area. These same Missouri high schools dominate state competition in Missouri. March 18, 2008
