I need to spend more time out of the tanning bed and more time on troys shaft. im a cute adorable lil princess with the word princess written in rhinestones on my tummy hehe. so all u nappy headed goblins hatin on me, well lets see who can stay in a tanning bed long me or u. i have pony tails now and last time i went down on troy they got caught in his zipper!
it's been all mental with troy, i put forth all my effort to make him work harder in the offseason but he refused. until the day he gets his priorities straight he will continue to lose to studs like me, a stud who was in a tanning bed more than on the mat.
I've read through the dialogue below and am embarrassed to consider you include those that have commented negatively as part of the wrestling community. True, it's a freedom of speach exercise, but more so, it is the ultimate disrespect to act in the manner you are against another wrestler regardless of ability or outcome. You are an embarrassment to the sport and your team.
ok, so he didn't win it, I would love to see you go out there with the heart like troy has and wrestle. Also if you knew troy, you would know that he is wrestling at kent state, so get your facts right.
To me I believe that Troy wrestled a great match. I know Troy well enough to know that he'll be able to overcome a tough loss like this. If you put these two (Ben and Troy) and the mat again, i believe Troy would win. Troy is a really great guy to know and be around. I'm lucky to be one of them people
Ben Sergent looks like a beatiful bronze goddess she has very tan legs and wrestles like his mom get him a bed and im sure he would be a good wrestler (if it runs in the family)
now before we all get too caught up in sergent winning, lets get caught up in his beautiful tan. he must have spent a good week in the carribean to get a tan like that. To be honest my troll self is very jealous. and thats a wrap just remember youll be hearing my voice a lot in the future
troy is my friend and i hav nothing against ben but this match was rigged fo sho. the clock runner was either paid or high because he started the clock 15 seconds late. Keep your head up troy and keep working out with us we love havin ya here
This is rediculous wat are you two doing (ben and dakota). your making asses of yourselves. to make things simple i will tell everyone my opinion and no one better argue with me. I think that the better wrestler lost the match but i give ben a little bit of credit for being able to wrestle after getting burnt in the tanning bed
Opfer is the better wrestler for sure. Last i checked his record verse benny boy is 6-2. so anyone who thinks different should be suckin on my ball sack
i agree with true story. people hear things and talk about the kid and know absolutely nothing about him. i don't know troy that well but from what i do know one things for sure he's anything but cocky. very humble kid, amazing family
I started keeping track of his his stats last year when he went undefeated in my weight class. He didn't win state but he deserves alot of credit. Congratulations
ive heard numerous stories of troy being a very cocky kid, i myself began to tell the stories, but i met troy this year, and got to practice with him, and we began to hang out a lil bit, and after doin so, i can honestly say hes probly the most humble kid ive ever met, and so what if he didnt win a state title, hes accomplished alot 3x state runner up is amazing, good job troy, and good luck at kent
troy is one hell of a wrestler he did much more than u people did im sure some of u talkin crap never even wrestled. He is a hard worker and just got caught he comes from a great family of wrestlers so what if hes the only opfer not to win a state title he was a 3x runner up and got 3rd thats pretty darn good if u ask me
Again "panther wrestling" for those of YOU less successful athletes, and I can say that about you unless you were in the finals four times and I'm sure you were not, sitting behind your computer while others are working will result in the same amazing results you have already accomplished.
in reading the negative comments in this thread, I'm just plain confused. It seems that the opfer's got cockier as each one went through high school as stated by those below that know. Maybe the succuss the family had just drew more attention. As far as opfer's being cocky, I see it as them not being afraid to state what they want to accomplish. For those of you less successful athletes; if you cannot say it you should not expect to accomplish it.

It seemed to get progressively worse with the cockiness. Jared seemed to be a class act, pretty humble, Drew was a little cocky but not bad, and then the last too just thought their sh*# didn't stink...oh well...Great family of wrestlers nonetheless
leave the kid alone, he works hard and has accomplished alot, 3x state runner up and a 3rd, is an amazing accomplishment, the cards just didnt go in his favor, and as he said himself, it just wasnt in gods plan
Does Troy have any relation to the Opfers who were brothers and won state titles back in the late 90's and early 2000's(i think that was the time period they wrestled). Any one from Ohio know....The Opfers were bad asses!
there was 24 seconds left after the last stalemate and if you look at the time on the video it takes about 32 seconds for ben to pin him so i guess they really did forget to start the clock for about 15 seconds....wow...
notice that everybody who says they knows troy and also knows the opfer family says nothing but good things about them and the people who have never spoken a word to them think they are cocky? makes no sense to me. i personally know the opfers and they are the best people you will ever meet. im not sure what you have against them or why you would have any reason to think their cocky but you're making yourself look like a jackass...
Another thing..Troy and Logan steiber practice with each other all the time..So i think he knows Logan a little more..He never once talked crap on him because I know Troy personally...Troy is the least cockyiest kid i know..let me ask why you think he is cocky??? Is it because he wins majority tourny's he goes to?? is it because his brothers won state titles after state titles and you guys were just mad at them?? Have you ever spoke a word to Troy Opfer?? To me a cocky person is someone who talks himself up.. for instance " i never got pinned ever in my life"..those kids, correction 30year olds on computers, are cocky....troy has tons of friends and respects other kids around him...

I DID wrestle in high school, I DID NOT get pinned in high school, I wasn't a FAT ASS, I wrestled 103-125, I also DID wrestle and college and DID NOT get pinned in college.
Secondly, if you know the Opfer family, Troy included, you would know that they are cocky. If you are saying that they are not cocky, then your out of your mind.
Third, Troy's accomplishments in high school are definately good, but that doesn't cover the fact that he pinned himself, and that he definately still is cocky.
Fourth, I have met and talked to both Hunter and Logan Stieber, who are both amazing wrestlers, and the most HUMBLE wrestlers I have ever met. Maybe Troy should take some lessons on how to be HUMBLE from Logan, one of the nicest kids on the mat. Troy, and any Opfer for that matter, is definately cocky.
Fifth, I like how everyone on here is aiming at me, CRYBABY!!, when there are other people saying he should be kicked out of his family and what not.
3x state finalist. and i have met the kid and he is anything but cocky. he is nothing but a class act. He deserved a state title but will do a great job in college. i'm not sure what you guys have against the kid (or maybe the same guy using different names) maybe he beat you in wrestling or something but enough with the negative comments!!
4x state placer, 2x state finals, 242 career victories, scholarship to kent state, have never met the kid but for all of the critics, i would be willing to bet you cannot live up to what he has accomplished and based on your stupid comments this kid will easily out shine your pathetic lives

opfer's brother was going crazy because there was 20 seconds left in the match when it was stopped for a stalemate and when they started back up they didnt start the clock for about 10 seconds....looks like that time came back to make a difference since he got pinned with about 6 left
haha maybe crybaby just wishes he was wrestling because he was too much of a coward to go out for it when he knew he'd end up looking like fool when troy kicked his ass...
alright, so there are two obvious facts that i wish people would realize and accept: one, both troy and ben are very talented wrestlers, otherwise they wouldn't be in the state finals. therefore, people can stop making stupid, untrue comments about troy "sucking". two, troy lost. whether he should have won or not, he lost, he's done, end of story. seriously, quit saying worthlessly dumb comments that only make you (crybaby) seem like an immature nobody with jealousy issues or a grudge.
opfer is one of the nicest kids you will ever meet.....great kid, sorry to see that he couldn't win a state title. One of the hardest working kids i've ever seen.

Would you be surprised if Ben Sergent was the nationally ranked kid? Troy Opfer is part of Opfer family that won more than 6 state championships. Troy is only one who hasn't won one.
