Taylor's birthday is Dec. 1990, Steiber's is January, 1991. Making them both in the appropriate class for their age. No redshirting going on for these two.

I've enjoyed watching Jimmy the last 4 years, but the reality is he is not in Stieber's class. Every loss Jimmy has has been to superior technicians. Jimmy is very strong and athletic, but that is about where it ends. I hope he gets to wrestle next year and I hope he continues to develop his skills, because he does have the strength and athleticism that can't be taught. But whether he was injured or not, Stieber would have drilled him the same way in this match. Sorry Jimmy, but good luck in the future!

I think a lot of people on here talk way to much crap. It was obvious who the better wrestler was in this match. Great who cares. They both deserve credit for getting to where they are. All of the trash talking about "bring that mess to PA, NJ, OH" or where ever doesn't mean jack. It all proves itself at the National Tourney or Big Tourney's where it is open to anyone. A lot of you guys sound like little kids saying "my Dad can beat up your Dad". Plus this is high school wait till some of these "bad-a$$es" get to college and see what happens. Just my .02

steiber, taylor, palmer, spicel, jamieson etc and other ohio boys all duck each other. that is a known fact that the parents collaberate which weight and they aviod each other to remain unbeaten. not the true spirit of wrestling.
reply
#17
OWSAdmin   March 4, 2008 at 3:30am
Your out of your mind Millertime. Stieber did not avoid McCauley at any competition- the only competitions he wrestled at were FILA Cadets and Cadet Nationals and he destroyed the field at both. You probably should mention that the wrestler who beat McCauley in Fargo (Ohio's Sammy White) was beaten 1-0, 7-0 by Stieber in the finals, and again at Ironman this fall. McCauley just barely got past Jerome Robinson in Fargo, it went right down to the wire, and Robinson just went 0-2 at state here in Ohio. McCauley may be about to win his 3rd but he would be a zero-timer in Ohio.

Millertime_x   March 3, 2008 at 8:27pm
Yeah, logan is good. But in order to become the best you have to compete with the best. Is that why he avoided Destin McCauley at the schoolboy duels last year? Even though Stieber is ranked higher nationally, I think McCauley can take him. Ohio lightweights are awesome, but Minnesota's may be better. Seriously, McCauley teched his kid in the state championships as a ninth grader. Plus, McCauley has one more year than Stieber.
reply
#12
JimmyG   March 3, 2008 at 7:23pm
You dont win State or Natl. Championships by luck dfrwe. Logan Steiber is in the hunt to become one of the best lightweights in Ohio and U.S. History. Btw if you did see biddy wrestlers who compete with that level of intensity you must have been in the OH 10......Thats Ohio dummy if you didnt figure it out!!!

are you people retarted! ya jimmy is good, im actually friends with him, but he is not even close to logan's caliber, and dfrwe seriously stay off the crack you look like a dumb a** saying logan sucks grow up! he won middle school states 3 times, hes won ironman, states, and plenty of nationals tournaments! hopefully your jealous and not that stupid. i dont know you but im pretty sure youve never accomplished or come close to the goals this young man has already achieved. and again lay off even if you do think he sucks, hes a kid thats doing great things, you have no right to put him down like that
