You guys are seriously dumb if you think Zach's dad was disappointed in him for tapping out (which he hardly even did)

All guys like Zach's dad care about is their son to win. they dont care how they do it, or how ugly it is. thats all they care about is that at the end they get their hand raised

Disgusted Wrestler   June 25, 2008 at 4:02pm
I think the look on his coaches face when he taps tells it all. No concern on the coaches face, just a look like "here we go again". The coach casually gets up, looks at the clock and then walks slowly over to Zimmer. He knew he wasn't hurt, that's why there is no hurry to get over to see how he's doing. Zimmer is a fantastic wrestler, but all that is overshadowed by the tap (the Zimmer)

I think honestly Zach is a better Wrestler. It showed at the end When he won the match. I all honesty though he did tap out so he could have the chance to come back, and thats what sucks for Chris. He shouldve been in the finals so he could've been pinned by Gilbert Camacho, But instead Zach won it with the "injury". Man i love Wrestling

oh ok ,i aint bashing anyone ,it is what it is, and as for going to the wrestling room, i have been there, done that.do i believe zack is a better wrestler, 100%, I predict zack takes 1,2,3 in the state but for him to yell something out to the ref when clearly you dont see anything happening to his neck, arms, legs, etc. was weak. did you see anything that should of cause him to be hurt. i would like to no? and oh ok if you would like to meet me i will be there at master tell me what your wearing or who you are and i would be glad to talk to you........

Hmm   February 8, 2008 at 8:57am
Yeah maybe he was pinned, but Zimmer looked like the better wrestler and would beat him 9/10 times or 10/10 without getting headlocked. Seriously all that Diaz tried to do was throw a headlock, he didn't take one shot. Work on your technique and try again.

Okay I can't take it any more. First of all, there was no tap out. I was there, it didn't happen. He did cry out in pain. Take stopping the match up with the ref. As far as if he was truly hurt, more than once I have seen Zack absolutely beat up on the mat, punched in the face, and dumped on his neck ... did it hurt? Without question. Did he continue to wrestle ... and win. Yup. This kid battles through, even after injury.
I posted this elsewhere, but it seems worth repeating here ...

Not every KID (remember, these are KIDS we are talking about) is going to handle every situation exactly right every time...those of you who are adults should remember that ...and those of you that are kids should know it first hand. Unless, of course, each and every one of you slamming kids on this forum has always done everything perfectly...in that case, my bad.

CW; man for all the smack you talk, how can you put your name as CW.... maybe you should come talk to Zimmer in the room if you have a problem. What I heard is Zimmer won his challange match and maintained his dominance in the room. and what back ups he has none, and the kids around him seem to be doing pretty well. C. Martinez @112 and Steven Knoblauch @119 AND ALSO ZIMMER NEVER TAPPED OUT do you see him tapping NO!!!! the ref made a judgement call,,, there were 6 seconds on the clock, he would have not pinned him anyways. so stop bashing the kid and have your kid ready for him next time, and actually try something then rather just a head lock!!!

that looked like an upset in the making but from the looks of it zack yelled something 2 the ref to stop the match.if you look at his body position he was in no shape or form of being injured.and the sanger kid was rodded of his pin....thats 2 bad he had 2 pull the i am hurt card. zack is a better wrestler but the better wrestler shouldn't of won.

did... you ever see Zimmer call time out... put his hands up and say time out.... he was hurt he was in pain... and the ref stopped it... could he have called a pin and then stopped it ... sure if he was pinned... but he made a judgment call and that's that.... dont hate on Zimmer he is a class act and a great wrestler.

so as another clovis unified coach you should probally talk to Zimmer himself rather then get on a forum uner no name and talk smack.... I can give him your phone number if you would like.
reply

Gabe Tackett   January 29, 2008 at 11:26am
If that ain't cheating, I don't know what is. I think the rules should change. If one wrestler taps in a pinning position, the other wrestler should be awarded six points. Makes you think what goes on in their wrestling room. "BRIDGE....TAP!!!"
reply

Another Clovis Unified Coach   January 29, 2008 at 10:45am
That is one of the worst things I've seen in a while. For a good wrestler to tap out when he is put to his back and about to be stuck. He is too good not to know what he was doing. What makes it worse is that is coach's son. It just begs the questions what kind of sportsmanship are you teaching. Is cheating ok only if you don't get caught?
