I am good friends with pisani and i like him as a person but i agree with drucker. he has no work ethic and just jokes around and takes nothing seriously. WHen i was at camp with him no one wanted to be near him because he was like a virus with fooling around! He is a good friend but somethings need to be said!

Pisani is an amazing competitor and a good kid and has absolutely NOTHING to be embarrassed about. He kicked Fishy's butt all over the matt for a solid round and a half. I would perfer never have a rematch! This kids is tough.
Not every KID (remember, these are KIDS we are talking about) is going to handle every situation exactly right every time...those of you who are adults should remember that ...and those of you that are kids should know it first hand. Unless, of course, each and every one of you slamming kids on this forum has always done everything perfectly...in that case, my bad.

Hey adviser shut up! You must not know how important wrestling is to some kids! I bet he was outside hitting sprints to punish himself! Its embarrasing to lose especially at something you love!!! Quit giving him a hard time, he spends his nights and days training to be the best, and when he loses its understandable to be upset!! You must not understand what its like to have passion for something, or let alone devote your life to it. Shut your mouth because you have no idea what its like! You probably never had the balls to devote your life to wrestling, let alone a sport.

The thing that is most impressive is how Fisher keeps his composure after being down so much. That is phenomenal for a HS kid. Wow. Also, for those of us who like to poo-poo mat wrestling, this is a sight to behold. Way to ride tough.

I love to see comments about sportsmanship and character by people who don't even know the kid. Vinny has put more time and energy into the sport than just about anybody I know. He hates to lose, and was disgusted with himself after the match. If you ever took the time to talk to Vinny you might find out what kind of person he is. Why don't you ask him a question about wrestling or ask if he can help you with take down set-ups. He is a good kids who has matured leaps and Bounds in the last three years. Drucker, Don't hate because he beat you in the Masters meet last year, Vinny had about the same score as fisher and took you down and turned you twice to win. Hats off to fisher!! What a great competitor.

underdog: that was 2 Near Fall points at 5:34 to 5:37. The reason is that it takes 5 seconds to earn 3 Near Fall points. Time expired after 3 seconds. Therefore, the most Green could earn was 2 Near Fall Points (correct call by ref).

observer: from 7:11 to 7:14, Red was out of Near Fall criteria. You cannot earn Near Fall points unless one shoulder is down and the other is held at 45 degrees or less; or when both shoulders are held within 4 inches off the mat; or when the defensive wrestler is held in a high bridge or on both elbows. None of these situations occurred after 7:11. That's a close call though because the ref doesn't have the benefit of video replay, but in a big tournament like this, the ref can't afford to make 2 mistakes. The first mistake (missed Escape and Takedown in 1st period) was the more obvious error.

Both were very good wrestlers and will probably face each other in the finals.

I scored it 12-10 for Red. There was a missed escape call for Green at 45 seconds into the video in the 1st period and consequently a missed takedown for Red. The wrestlers were standing face-to-face and Red lost control beyond reaction time (Escape Green) and then Red took Green down again (Takedown Red). The 3 point Near Fall in the last period is also debatable, which is probably why the Red coach called for a conference. Red didn't get into Near Fall criteria until 7:07 into the video and got out of it at 7:11. That's only 4 seconds. It takes 5 seconds to earn 3 Near Fall points. It was poor sportsmanship for leaving his gear on the mat, but shaking the coach's hand isn't required by rule. Good match though.

The ref counted 3 nearfall too quickly in the last period. The score should have been 10-10 at end of regulation.

bad sportsmanship. leaves his headgear and mothpiece on the mat for his coach to pick up. If I was his coach I would have made him go pick up his stuff himself. Good job forty, just teach that kid some respect and spotsmanship.

Again he loses and shows poor sportsmanship by not shaking the other coaches hand and running out the gym.To bad such a great match to act like a baby.
And he walks around with a Jesus shirt on, how about some humility.
