BTW, he placed sixth at Midlands, winning six matches..... At this tournament, he had 1 week of practice after playing a long football season, where these guys have been training all Fall. reply
#15	Anthony Flores January 8, 2008 at 6:31pm Slappy White you must be that famous wrestler that no one ever heard about.Do You Wrestle Slappy or did you get that name by getting Bitched slapped by your old Lady.Jason Welch has been pretty successful at every weight he wrestled.He did beat both the 1st & 2nd rated wrestlers at 171 last year as a Junior in the State.Bland & Danz.Slappy leave the Crack alone. reply
#14	474747 January 7, 2008 at 8:10pm I didn't say he sucked, and I didn't say thats all Northwestern will do for him is having him hit the weights. I just think he looks like his skills would benefit even more by being stronger. When he enters college he will be in the upper middle weights and if you have ever watched him wrestle he always has a harder time with the stronger wrestlers. reply

There is a thin line in wrestling between being strong and being bulky, I am pretty sure he knows where he needs to be and his coaches at Northwestern will be able to guide him with more than "hit the weights". reply

#9	474747 December 30, 2007 at 4:13pm You can't compare how other wrestlers wrestle eachother. It like football people match up different. All I am saying is watching these videos Welch looks quick and his skills are great, I think he lacks in strength which may not catch up with him until college. I didn't say he was overrated, he just needs to hit the weights and not rely solely on his quickness and talent. reply
#8	Flipback11 December 29, 2007 at 1:17am no way he is overrated he is the one of the most dominate wrestlers ive ever seen he never stops wrestling the whole match he is unorthadox but still strong enough to not get caught in his funky moves 3 time working on 4 time state champ i dont think you can talk much smack about that reply

I think a wrestler who is strong and technically sound will have a great chance at beating Welch. I saw Ethan Lofthouse at the beast of the east and I think he would give Welch a run for his money. reply

Reno Tournament of Champions: High School Tournament. Videos coming soon. At the Reno Tournament of Champions the top high schools from the east coast and midwest come in and face top schools from the West coast to make what is branded as the "Toughest tournament in the Nation". It is one of the largest tournaments with some 87 teams participating in it in years past. Last Year Easton High School won the tournament and will be looking to bring the championship back again this year to Eastern PA.
