well, im gonna defend poway, sammy wrestled for imperial for his first 3 years, and this is his first year for poway, and he showed that aggresionn last year to when he threw a 280 pound guy into a trash can(destroying it in the process)

Sammy dominated that match. I'm embarassed for the Temecula kid. It couldn't of felt good to win by a DQ,when you know you didn't deserve it. That's how wrestlers are, regardless of which team they wrestle for. They want a clean win - not a gimme. And I do sense a lot of sour grapes. Poway wrestlers work HARD! And they win because they are good. Temecula's got a hell of team also. It's nice to have some competition.

This is complete BS. I had to watch the tape four times to find out what the boy did to be DQ'd. Evidently he didnt even know he put his hand on the other boys face...think about it, why would this kid smash the boy into mat, pin him, and then do something to lose the match. I know first hand that Branson does not teach dirty behavior..he teaches honest, hard nosed, well conditioned and tough wrestling. For anyone to say otherwise is a complete lie. This was a terrible call.

I wrestled for Poway my freshman year, and their club 8th and 7th year. And I can say taht they dont teach how to wrestle dirty. they teach to wrestle hard. but i can only say that for the freshman team, not the JV or Varsity(i moved away).

I first saw it as a freshman in high school circa 1975. The previous Poway coach invited my coach outside to settle a dispute. This Poway coach came in a few years later smug as ever and has been at it for 30 years now. Glad they win alot, not glad they teach what they do. Congrats to the clean Poway kids anyway...

Well nothings changed over the years at Poway. All comes from the coach's mentality. They've been doing that kind of B.S for 25 years. It all comes back now. My school was in the same league as Poway so I saw them alot. The kid and the coach should be ejected from the competition for the rest of the day PERIOD....
