phillips is a beast on the mat tho....i talked to his coaches at districts last year and they said he was battling the flu all week and then at state he showed that he is phenomenal on the mat, turning seniors at will and making it look easy.
In the Olympics as in High School.....upsets happen and isn't it better that it happens when the consequences are manageable. Loss of pride stings....but it heals. Wonder how all are doing now.

Honestly, that didn't really look like it was intentional. I'm a biased observer here, and it just looked like he was trying to come in and force the pace on Phillips a little bit. Phillips has a bit of a higher stance than normal, so when Roddy was in his, his head was lower.

Hello all, I won state last year @ 171 D3 and Christopher " The Hammer " Phillips handled me during the summer. Since then I idolize and follow his strict workout program, I wanna be just like Chris.

HI Chris beat me and he didnt even wrestle his best. I am picked to finish in the top 2 in Division 2 and he just ate me up for breakfast, lunch and supper. He also dominated me in the summer. I know i am a junior but i do know that if i wrestle him this summer or next year that he might pin me with ease.

Boflex person, you must have watched the ' non classy ' performance blindfolded. Right above here is the match genius so take a peek at it or maybe you are scared to see Roddy lose to a freshman. You can just jump ahead to the final period and watch the overconfident overweight senior begin to lose his composure on a consistent basis, wouldnt you lose your composure if you couldnt do a single thing against a freshman? Many many other good athletes as freshmen and sophomores at that school currently. Bring Steve home a title boys, he deserves one more than any other coach in Division 6 football!

Phillips can bench press 320 pounds, ran a 53 second 400 meter in 8th grade and can do a backflip flat footed with ease. Yes, he plays running back and linebacker on the football team and expect him to make an impact this upcoming season.

We were all disappointed in Brian after this match.......he took it in the anal sphincter all night long and still is. I think hes beginning to enjoy it a bit too much. That is why he got pinned the following week after Phillips beat him. He wanted to be pinned then taken advantage of, its his nature lmao.

Congrats to the freshman but its obvious both of these kids have a lot of work to do. Roddy has some pretty sloppy technique, he does a lot of reaching on his shots. Terrible "so called firemans" in the first period, he should of been put on his back! But overall two decent kids and to make it to the finals at ironman is a hell of an accomplishment!!

Phillips is a heck of a wrestler. I can not wait to watch him in the future. He wrestled one heck of a match very athletic and very smart. Roddy showed no class later in this match. It appeared his only goal in the second half of the third period was to hurt Phillips because he knew he got out wrestled.
