The Rhino eXtreme wrestling tournament is not for everyone. The three age divisions reflect those used at national tournaments and the level of competition finds state champions fighting for one of the six positions on the podium. For those that are up to the challenge and rise to the top, the feeling when they loft the Rhino eXtreme Belt high over their head on top of the podium may be unmatched.

News & Updates
10-19-09 Effective 18 October, the North Carolina Amateur Wrestling Association has incorporated NUWAY for its folkstyle wrestling model. This means that a USAW card is no longer required for the Rhino eXtreme. This should greatly reduce the entry cost for many of your wrestlers. Wrestlers that are USA or NUWAY members will receive a discounted entry fee. This year's eXtreme should be the best ever as it effectively a "no-card" tournament. We expect an overall increase in participation but particularly in the high school division as many JV wrestlers or Varsity wrestlers with an open date will be able to compete without worrying about purchasing a membership on top of their entry fee. As always if you have any questions give Marty a call at 910-824-0024. 6-29-09 The eXtreme has been moved from 23 Jan 2010 30 Jan 2010. Weigh in will be the day/night prior. Thanks to everyone who helped us with the decision to move dates. In short it was done so that the best wrestlers would have the opportunity to compete at Tulsa Nationals and the Rhino eXtreme as they have in the past. I just finalized our awards order. Over $5000 worth of hardward on the way. We changed up the custom placement medals. Champions will get the belt and the hardware the 2nd - 6th place finishers get. I really liked the cut out custom medals but...am very eXcited about the new medals or should I say custom belt buckles.
The 1st through 6th place awards will be custom belt buckles that double as medals. They are awarded on a traditional lanyard that can be worn around the neck but the lanyard can be removed and the award can be worn as a belt buckle.
Additionally we have upgraded the placement medals for the rookie tournament, no belt buckles sorry, but really nice medals.
