Coach Andrassy feels that mental toughness is a big part of the success at Kent State University.  He feels if his athletes can endure everything that him and his staff can throw at them then being All-Americans will happen.  The Gauntlet is a series of lifts, runs and just plane cruel exercises to push the mental threshold of the KSU Grapplers.

This workout is very similar to those found on crossfit.com. Many programs all over the country are using them, they do develop mental toughness and get you in great shape.

The workout started with a 1 mile hard run, then plate pushes/dumbell bear crawl, the third stage was 100 cleans, then they finished with sprint 350-21kettle bells-12 pull ups-(Only the fourth stage was all times 3)
