Paul Ardila would major Carter (Dublin) the 215
I don't think so. Carter is a two time Georgia State Champ at 189. He has wins over Hawkins (his only loss of the year) and Scruggs (one of his two losses of the year). Ardila may win but there won't be a major.

I watched all the matches from this "so called" all-star meet. Not a single wrestler from either state in this dual is ranked in Amateur Wrestling News' top 12. Most of these kids wouldn't even place in the state tournaments in PA, NJ, or OH. I have absolutely no idea how somebody can claim that these kids would "demolish northern wrestlers." That comment is ridiculous and totally untrue. Anyone who has any wrestling knowledge at all and can remain unbiased knows that this basically amounts to a JV meet in the stronger wrestling states up north. Let's be realistic people.

This is a great event that should help promote wrestling in both states.

Do yall not understand thatu wrestling in sc is up and comeing. Yeah so our state championships arnt the same but there are some great wrestlers in the state of sc that could demolish northern wrestling. a state championship is a state championship wherever you go. somebody is gonna win and somebody is gonna lose. Sc is not a state that has kids wrestling since they learned to walk. my best friend lived in ohio family members with J jagers and he didnt win his first state title till his junior year. So if most kids in sc stated learning to wrestle in 7th grade and become a state champ that isnt bad. Im shure the north has there share of y wrestlers
A state championship is a state championship wherever you go? Not even close! You are only as good as your competition. If the competition is weak and all you beat is weak competition, then you are weak, even if you beat every other weak wrestler on the way to winning the weak state championship.

Do you really think that winning a state championship in football in Rhode Island has the same significance as it does in Texas?!? Get real.
