News & Updates

Lots of changes in the smallest of our weight classes. Word has it that previous #1 Crawford can't hold weight anymore and has moved up two weight classes to 119. This paves the way for debate between Fahy and Flournoy for the top spot. I initially was going with the Fauquier small man due to his higher Beast placement, but opon further inspection Fahy had the better tournament. You see both wrestlers' losses came to the same opponents (Malone and Grey). However, Fahy faired much better than Flournoy (9-3 vs Tech against Grey and OT vs Pin against Malone). Therefore Fahy gets the top spot this week.

Another VA wrestler is getting himself some good press in Grassfield's Caleb Richardson. The sophomore ran through a realitively tough field at USMC Ultimate Challenge. This win sets him up as the clear #2 103 in VA's incredibly tough AAA classification.

Be on the look out for GA's Super Frosh Jeremiah Lutz to crack the top 10 in the weeks to come. He'll be tested against stiff competition with region and sectional tournaments looming right around the corner in the peach state.

Mark Gulesian is fair game for the bubble wrestlers, he did an excellent job wrestling at scholastic duals defeating a few state champions from northern states.

Yeah Wigger did go O-2, and he went 0-2 as an eighth grader there also. It's not how you start the year it is how you finish it. He will finish better than everyone on this list.
