Tony Ramos talks about why he became an Iowa Hawkeye and what it means for him to wrestle for the storied program. He describes what it was like to wrestle Jordan Oliver in front of 15,000 people at Carver Hawkeye Arena. He is looking forward to the Ohio State match which will be at Carver, where Ramos is undefeated, in January.

The match is not going to happen tonight. Stieber is out with an injury. That sucks! |

How about this, Mark: I love Stieber and I love Ramos. I hope they hug each other before and after their matches. They are both very good and so nice and so cute. I hope they both win. Everybody is a winner! They are nice people and they like rabbits. I like rabbits. Once my mom got me a rabbit for my birthday. It's name was Alias, and it was sooooo cute, then one day it got away and I cried. Ramos and Stieber are nice and I know they'll be nice to each other when they wrestle so I won't cry. With love, HwotM |

Dear Mark, considering the fact that you want to cut down on the toughness of people on here, that was a very tough comment of you. I dont need a fake name to bash you, I most certainly could do it in real life with ease. To me it sounds like you and Tony were a little more than just friends, and you know what, good for you. That is probably the reason Tony is so terrible at interviews and has awful social skills in general. Congrats you ruined someones life. Stop posting on here or I'll come looking for you. In fact why dont you just throw your computer away so you dont have any temptations. |

I dont understand why so many of the comments on here have to be from people trying to be tough or cool while hiding behind a computer alias. I dont know Logan, but he seems like a great kid and a hard worker. I do know Tony very well and have for 15 years and know that he has the utmost respect for his opponents and the sport of wrestling in general. Instead of coming on here to bash 2 of the best wrestlers in the nation, how bout trying to encourage them and just enjoy the fact that flo gives us so many oppurunities to watch them wrestle, hear them speak, and see them train. If you dont like Ramos, thats fine, then dont watch his interviews. If you dont like Stieber thats fine too, but theres no need to hide behind a fake name bashing these guys. |

There has to be guys like this out there or the Stiebers, Dakes, Taylors of the world would go unchallenged. I like his tenacity and drive. Kid HATES losing and really thinks he has what it takes to beat the best. We need moreof him. Itsthe guys like this that keep the greats sharp. |

one thing for sure

one thing for sure no matter who wins steiber or ramos (which will be steiber hands down...probably by pin this time.) steiber is much more of a class act than ramos. ramos talks about how he is the best (even though he doenst have a NCAA title yet) while steiber just talks about how he has to get better every day. |

D1 All Americans all think they can beat anyone at anytime if they didnt think that then I doubt they would be All Americans. For those of you that are posting negative comments about Tony and are basing your comments off interviews and by watching his matches it just shows your stupidity. And if any of youve have had the pleasure of talking to this young man or were lucky enough to interact with him growing up in Illinois you would have a different opinion. Last year is over. Its all over now! We're talking about this season. Season 12-13. The best one we gonna see in a while. Having said that its gonna be full of surprises. There's not a single guy who's clear favorite to win, besides Ruth maybe. Others gonna have to earn it. Iowans love that word "earn". durrr |
