USA head wrestling coach Zeke Jones talks about the experience that he and his wrestlers had at the 2012 London Olympics. He is very tired and ready to get some real rest for a few days before they get back at it and prepare for 2013. The 2012 USA wrestling team earned three medals with Coleman Scott taking home a bronze at 60kg while Jordan Burroughs and Jake Varner won gold medals at 74kg and 96kg respectively.

Get rid of collegiate style wrestling? Why dont we get rid of public education too? the rest of the world is doing it... Instead of thinking about how collegiate wrestling hurts us perhaps we should look at the advantages is gives us over other countries that dont have it. For example find another country that has wrestling programs in thier school systems like we do. We are truly blessed to be in the USA. |

Start....Wrestling freestyle in high school and college. If grooming more wrestlers to become olympic champions really is the ultimate goal for wrestling in the USA then we better start early.No. Both our Gold medalists and Bronze medalist did pretty much folk only. They made the transition and it paid off. The idea that we need to get rid of folk for a once very 4yrs event, is ludicrous. |

Love what Coach Jones is doing for USA wrestling! That quote below about him being a giant network that keeps going is so true. What a truly wise head coach, bringing in the best in the nation and world to mentor our current olympians is genius and humbling! As a kid he was my hero, as a coach and growing up he has always amazed me. Everytime I've had a chance to talk or meet him I have been truly impressed by just how simple he can make the sport of wrestling. His vision is starting to come to fruition and I can't wait to see what happens through this next cylce |

Zeke is such a great guy. Genuine, down to earth, and one heck of a coach. |

things are moving in the right direction. there are obviously things we can improve on, like more funding for these RTCs. but as someone who has been very critical of USAW, Zeke is slowly making me a believer again. |

The best thing about Zeke is the way he brings all these great wrestlers and coaches together and helps them to reach their top performance. And when he has to, he stays out of their way. The RTCs are a great idea. The tougher we can make our trials, the better our result will be. We need to make it like there are Olympic teams training in Oklahoma, Iowa, Ohio, PA, and the PNW, and let the best guys from each team take on the world. We've got some kinks to work out, but this cycle has been a major step forward. |

Been saying this for a while Zeke Jones is the best guy to be training our Olympic guys! Greg Jones once said "When it comes to Zeke Jone's brain on wrestling you're looking at a network of super computers that never stop working to find the best techniques, best ways to train, and ultimately execution at the highest level." Great job Zeke! |
