The core of discussion for this week's Flocenter is epic dual meet that took place over the weekend between Iowa and Oklahoma State. The teams were ranked #1 and #2 respectively as Iowa was on an 84 dual match unbeaten streak dating back to January 8, 2011 when Oklahoma State defeated them. At 133lbs #4 ranked Tony Ramos of Iowa pulled off a huge upset over #1 ranked and defending undefeated NCAA champ Jordan Oliver or OSU.

Great episode... gotta show some love to Ramos @133 winning a huge match over the pinning machine Oliver... that said, Oliver is still the favorite and should still be number 1 he had such a lead on the rest of the 133 pack that this one loss just brought them into view in his rearview mirror

his hands are possibly locked. 4 months ago

:36 LOCKED HANDS
:36 LOCKED HANDS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Do we have a bet ?

PA for life. 4 months ago

that was locking hands. He completely stopped an escape and a no call. Oliver should have won in regulation in the worst match he has wrestled all year.

I bet a Benjamin to a Bader high and tight haircut that the three Amish can't do a Flo Show without a hand clap.

Another great discussion! FloCenter's gotta be one of the best things going in sports right now

criteria 4 months ago

The newspaper said if the criteria were in place last year, Okie State would have won that dual last year. On a personal note, "unbeaten" streak was just a way to keep talking about something. "winning" streak is where its at.

Way better this week 4 months ago

The format looked good with the 3 man sit down this week. Much smoother and polished. Us wrestling fans love the discussion. I don't have the time to catch every duel and individual match up, so you guys do a great job on the National picture and putting it all in perspective for us. Lots of info and plenty of commentary to make it all interesting.
Perry was stuck in that duel by the way.
Keep up the great work guys! I'm a Flo Man for Life.

Also Sorry I forgot to ask, does anyone also know from last year Iowa vs OK State, if the criteria for a result in a tie in dual meet points were in place last year, which criteria would have made which team the winner? (i.e. OK State becuase no falls or tech falls matches 5-5 and total match points were ____-____)

Tsunami 4 months ago

Does anyone know if OK STATE's 84 unbeaten consecutive duals resulted in any ties? If so how many?

Enjoyed the discussion and clicked the like button in appreciation of Bader freakout! However, surprised u didn't mention Blake Rosholt getting the 197 spot in the OSU lineup over Cayle Byers and then coming through in the final match to defeat Gambrall (3rd place at NCAAs last year at 184) and secure the team victory.

Thanks, Nick!

Minnesota's team score was including Dardanes team points, not Thorns.

David Bray 4 months ago

Dardanes is a beast. I want to know what the Scuffle team score would have been if Dardanes was scoring points for the team.

BOom 4 months ago

Cael had previous arrangements to go to Utah the weekend of National Duals. Cael wants to grow the sport in his home state, and wasn't comfortable backing out of a commitment he made years in advance. I would assume that PSU will be involved in national duals going forward.

How many hand slaps ? 50 plus.
Bader get your GQ on.

That would be an overhook.
