You can't let that crack of emotion or thought of " if I lose I can sleep and eat" or "this is what its like to be here, wow" infiltrate your mind. Many are happy to be there. Most are ready to say " I went down to nationals a little banged up and won a match good for me.." where the champions think " your going to have to drag me off the mat today, I can and will beat everyone here, winning is my only option and I'll do anything to achieve that right now..."

He is a great coach, and a real advocate for his guys. He has been there under adversity, and found a way to break through. That gets shared with the guys in the room every day, and it can make the difference. Guys have to understand it to breakthrough, because NOBODY gets through that 3day national tourney unscathed. Everyone is in shape, everyone is strong, and everyone wants it. And, everyone, with no exceptions, is banged up. Leen once said "Watch guys warm up before the blood round. It is all theater. Everyone is looking calm, collected, and loose. The reality is that every part of your body is in pain."
