Buxton On Blair @ NE Regional @ Brockport

I love the fact that Buxton is trying to meet up with Apple Valley at the Cheesehead or Clash. There's no basis to criticize Apple Valley for ducking competition since they have more state restrictions than private schools, that program is doing an incredible job. I would favor them over Blair on paper pre-season (which essentially means squat) but you gotta give Buxton credit for always seeking the toughest schedule in the nation. This is part of what makes his team so great, it's the attitude in the room and phenomenal coaching. It's not recruiting as many (ignorant) people say, there's zero need to recruit when your program is that attractive, plus their academic requirements are too stringent to accept every airhead who's a talented wrestler. Of course they have certain advantages over public schools because people from out of the area can wrestle there (this happens at St Paris and Apple Valley too though), but to claim that they recruit is baseless speculation and arguably libel.
