yeah thanks again Craig, great wrestling from farniev here, in the zone - what wrestling should be like - perfect technique and action match.

Wanna really see Tedeev vs Cuban at 04 olympics if u have it or any of the ukr. from 04 olympics.

His conditioning is bad, but they say his wife really gets in his head.

Really impressive match. Thanks Guru.

With even mediocre conditioning I think Farniev would be a several-time world champ by now. I sometimes wonder if there is something medical going on with this guy- I find it hard to believe someone could attain that level of wrestling but be too lazy to do a little cardio.

Semi-Finals of the 2003 World Championships in NYC between Irbek Farniev and Kazuhiko Ikematsu.

Here we see some great technique displayed by Farniev including a spectacular fireman's carry, his patented high gutwrench, and amzaing flexibility on his defense.

one of the more exciting wrestlers over the last few years, Farniev is known for his vareity of technique but also lack of conditioning. He appeared to be in top form throughout this tournament however, beating ikematsu, who ended up winning the bronze, as well as 3x World and 2004 Olympic Champ Elbrus Tedeev and 1998 & 2001 World Champ Serafim Barzakov.

Enjoy.
