Start learning to use your hands and feet interchangeably. ie. There are times you could run a half with your legs etc. Think about the positions you get into. Try things in the room. If it doesnt work, tweek it. Realize that high hips or superior hip position will win and then adapt that into moves. A lot of the pinches you get in to you can sneak out of by grabbing feet. Grab your opponents in some cases, your own in others. Play around with it. Remember that wrestling is all about hips. Keep your hips away from your opponent if your'e getting in to trouble

It's called scrambling. biggest tip i can give is keep your hips higher than your opponents. Now start scrambling

there is no such thing as funk. Every "funk" technique you have ever seen is an actual technique and should be learned exactly the same as learning a double leg takedown. theres tons of scrambling techniques on technique wave and youtube. Look up roper on youtube and he has a great ankle roll series and shows 5 or 6 variations of it. just remember, don't call it funk, the only kids who call it funk are kids who dont know what "funk" wrestling is. The best scramblers hate the term funk (set aside askren) but he too understands its atechnique, not just random rolling and turning
