ok - i just kinda watched in on the dvr again - now i know why the hair - that is one ugly dude with a huge head - the hair makes it look smaller and hides the face - sorry clay - i'm ugly too
that hair has got to go - yea i know maynard complained about it - why doesn't guida just cut the stupid hair - what a fool - in a real life fight i would grab him by the hair and take him anywhere i want
I'm pulling for Guida... but Maynard is TOUGH. Hopefully Clay can pull it out.
This Friday night, June 22, we will get to see what should be an entertaining UFC lightweight fight between Gray Maynard and Clay Guida. Both Clay Guida and Gray Maynard have been right there hanging around the top of the UFC lightweight division. In his last fight Gray Maynard is 10-1-1 and suffered his first loss in mixed martial arts when he was dropped in the fourth round of a title fight with then UFC lightweight champ Frankie Edgar.
Clay Guida has also been close to the top of the division, battling with some of the stiffest competition in the UFC. In his last 20 fights Clay Guida is 11-9 and a win over Gray Maynard would really make a statement that he needs to be considered in the title hunt again.
Both of these guys are former college wrestlers. Gray Maynard was an All-American at Michigan State while Clay Guida wrestled at Harper college in Illinois.
One has to think that Gray Maynard has the advantage, but let's be honest, Clay Guida has much better hair!
Regardless I really feel that it will be a very competitive fight that will be super entertaining and I can't wait to watch it. It is a 5 round main event fight so it should be entertaining, I think it will go all 5 rounds with Gray Maynard winning a split decision, Guida wins the second and fifth rounds, the third round is close.
How do you see this fight going?
