Who will be the Olympian at 60kg?

Mark Bader 1 year ago

The stage is set, we have one more Olympic spot that needs to be filled and that is the 60kg men's freestyle weight class. This was the last weight class that the US got qualified for the Olympics and Shawn Bunch is the one who got it done at a tournament in China. Bunch sat out of the Olympic Trials to try and qualify the weight, Reece Humprey sat out of the Olympic Trials due to an injury and Coleman Scott was the Olympic Trials champion, beating Logan Stieber in the finals.

These three guys will have a three man tournament to determine who will represent the United States in the 2012 Olympic Games in London. Reece Humphrey and Coleman Scott will tangle in a first round match with the winner to face Shawn Bunch in a best 2 out of 3 match series, just like they do in the Olympic Trials finals.

From some of the rumblings that I have heard on Twitter, it sounds like this may take place on June 7 during the Beat the Streets event, but this is not confirmed. How do you see this mini tournament going and who do you think will end up being our 2012 Olympian at 60kg?
