We are please to make notice that this web site will no longer be used as a form of communication. WE WILL post everything to the MHS flowrestling web site. This will give way to better communication and up coming events. We will be able to include everyone in the club events.(MHS and Matwrats)

The Minot High Wrestling team, along with the Wrestling Boosters, are planning to raise funds for Cancer Awareness this season. We have the fund raising in place, we are looking for suggestions on where to use the money. We would like to find candidates in the wrestling community that could use some financial assistance. However, we can extend that, to the school system, or city as well. We are also willing to assist organizations that work with or help those fighting cancer. A good place to bring these ideas, is the next booster meeting, held on Sunday, Dec. 6, 7:00pm, Central Campus teachers lounge.

Hey all,
I know there has been some concern with the Mat Wrats organization for the upcoming year. Here is what we have in place so far...
Coaches... Zach Axtman and Kevin Kamrowski
Volunteer coaches...Kevin White (weigh ins) and Mike Stein (sub for Kevin and Zach)
Informative... Mike Nagel (web sight and tournament information)

Here is what the club needs...
1.) A parent to step up and delegate responsibilities such as fundraising, club sign up, uniforms, and socials.
2) Parents to recruit other young wrestlers.

I think most of you agree that although we are not the largest club in town we are probably the club whose wrestlers learn the most and are most competitive with our numbers. This is a proud club and we want to continue to see it succeed but we want our parents to take more ownership in the club. Hope you all can continue to help our kids succeed!

If anyone has concerns they need to address you can contact me.

Hello all booster members. Thanks for all the help at the Applebee's fundraiser. It was a very good and easy way to make some money for the club. We sold 183 tickets. Not so bad for such short notice. We will try this again next year about the same time( Only once a year allowed). We had some very good reviews by the management on how the club did. Congradulations!!!!!!! We made a $176 in tips alone + $5 canadian. A complete report will be given at the boosters meeting for the totals. Way to work the charm!

The only thing we need to do for next year is make sure everyone IS over 18. No one can work if they are not. They will not give us a third chance. They are not allowed to be there unless they are eating with an adult gaurdian. All areas are off limits at all times to minors. This was the Applebee's guide lines. This was the only negative comment. We need to keep this event. It was an easy and fast way to go.

If anyone has other fundraising events they think will work, please bring them to the table at the next boosters meeting on the 1st of November. We are always looking for good ideals.
