This year the team race will sure to one to the wire between Indiana powerhouse Mater Dei who is ranked #1 and local powers Moeller, Lakota West and Elder. Mater Dei again ranked #1 in Indiana will be led by a well balanced team and will definitely contend for the team title under new head coach Greg Schaefer. Along with Wallander and Harger, Moeller has returning state qualifiers Jacob Corrill at 103 and Ross Quehl at 215 both of whom placed last year at this tournament. Lakota West comes in with a strong senior presence led by 3x state runner-up Ryan Fields who will be at 130 this year and Jess Stevens will be at 145. Adding more power to the Lakota West lineup will be senior state qualifiers Zach Gerberick at 112, Tyler Green at 140 and former state qualifier Derrick Dooley at 135. New to the tournament is Miami Trace hailing from Washington Courthouse and they will be an impact on the small team title with 3 returning state placers in Codey Neff, Jacob Garringer, and Dustin Fraley. Returning to SWOWCA is the ever tough Beavercreek with returning SWOWCA champion Cody Smith at 215 and Gavin Moore a state qualifier at 125 last year. Also returning is Columbus power Mt. Vernon who returns to the tournament again and last year was led by state runner-up and SWOWCA Michael Lybarger, they will be tough as always
