McDaniel College Wrestling Philosophy

The philosophy that we have installed here at McDaniel this season and for seasons to come is very simple: work hard. Work hard in the practice room. Work hard in competitions. Work hard in the classroom. And most importantly, work hard at transcending the skills that we learn in the classroom and on the mat to develop into the person that we want to become. There are no athletic scholarships, no hopes of going pro, nothing to be gained by wrestling at a DIII institution except to build upon our character, to build relationships with like minded individuals. We willingly put ourselves through the fire together, athletes and coaches, to make sure that we stretch the limitations of our individual abilities. We become better members of our respected communities because of each other, because of the belief in our team philosophy.
